Chapter Four - Beautiful Angel

Daniel's P.O.V

Lying on her bed which was draped in her fragrance I knew there was no better place than this in the entire world for me.

At least none that I could have imagined.

Somehow in this moment all of those fancy dreams of an endless empire, the biggest of biggest castles which would be adored for generations, becoming the greatest kings in history flew out the window. If I could really live beside her I wouldn't mind becoming a commoner. If it meant that I could have her waking up next to me my entire life I didn't mind waking up in a run-down house than a grand castle.

Was this how father felt when he met mother?

As a child I always thought how could it be possible to fall for a woman you've never seen your entire life. It just sounded stupid. But, if it is indeed stupid in this moment I don't mind being the biggest idiot of all times.

"Daniel?" My name really feels heavenly coming from her mouth. I raised my head to look at her beautiful standing frame. Her sunlight like hair tied up in a messy bun. Her glass like gentle eyes. Her pink plum kissable lips which were parted as she spoke something. Her sweet flowery scent which...

"DANIEL!?" I snapped out my thoughts as I tore my gaze away from her and shook my head trying to gain my consciousness.

She's really like a drug. Just being around her makes me lose all of my rationality that I could have possessed in the past two hundred years.

"Yea?" I asked finally looking at her with eyes wide open, trying my hardest to keep my sanity as I swallowed the lump in my throat.

"You didn't listen a word, did you?" She questioned me with her left eyebrow raised. God! She looked so sexy.

Snap out of it, dumbass! My subconsciousness cursed at me and I hate to admit it but it was fucking right. I needed to snap out of it.

So, snapping our of it I opened my mouth to give a reasonable excuse but was cut off by a laugh.

Not her angelic one but my cousin's irritating one.

"It's okay, Eleanor. Me, Petroka and Teris heard it. We'll take care of him." Henry spoke to her with a grin as big as Mt. Kanterna.

I so wish I could get up from my place and punch that grin off his face.

But, before I could say anything my flower spoke in a soft voice," If you need anything. I'm outside."

Fucking hell, flower. Don't go. I'd rather have you by my side than these idiots.

"Of course." Henry said as she quickly turned around and left and Henry followed her to the door, closing it immediately behind her.

"Wow man! Never thought Knife is a damn hot woman." He spoke as he smacked his head with his own hand and walked back to the small couch to rest.

I wanted to beat the shit out of Henry for calling her like that. But, he was right on one thing though. I also never thought... Never thought that Knife was a woman. Most importantly that she was my soulmate. I couldn't believe my ears in the forest as I closed my eyes remembering that moment...

My angel was crying. From happiness? From sadness? I didn't know. All I knew was that she was crying. Seeing her tears roll down her pretty rosy cheeks made my heart twist and turn in my chest and my blood boil in my veins.

But then the next words my ears heard froze me right in my spot. My feet seemed to have grown roots as I couldn't just couldn't move at all.

"It's okay, El. It's just us. And, you are not Knife right now. Just our Eleanor." The little blonde girl said with a smile on her face as she walked up closer and stroked my angel's head with her small warm hands trying to comfort her.

Knife!? My soulmate was Knife? A Vampire Hunter?

I really couldn't believe my angel having all that dirty blood on her fragile hands fighting for justice for those who succumbed only to power. But, before I could have even recovered from that shock completely, her angry voice boomed in the hollow woods.

"COME OUT. I KNOW YOU ARE HIDING SOMEWHERE HERE! COME OUT THIS INSTANCE!"

She found us. What do we do now? I looked at Henry who was frozen, Teris who was deep in his thoughts and Petroka who was holding his sword.

My eyes stopped at the sword. And, before anyone could even react, I snatched it from Petroka and wounded myself leaving the three of them horrified. Petroka's blade was of silver so it would take me more than a week to heal. But, it was worth it. As long as it portrays to my angel that we mean no harm in true sense.

"Henry?" I looked at him and as he looked into my eyes, he understood my intentions. He quickly ruined his clothes as Petroka and Teris followed him.

Then, putting an arm around me. He supported my wounded self as he said under his breath. "Let's hope this doesn't get more messed up than it is."

But, yeah. Things turned out more different than we imagined them to. She trusted us. And, I was more than relieved.

Damn, I feel thirsty. At times like this, I was glad I was a vampire king. I could survive on water for a week without even having a drop of blood while keeping my sanity. The last thing, I needed was flower to be disgusted by me because I was a vampire.

I opened my tired eyes as I looked over to the couch. The trio was resting. I could have woke then up and made them get the water for me. But, I decided against it. They must have been dead tired after everything.

I slowly tried to get up. And man, the wounds hurt like a bitch. I tried to get off the bed in a way that would lessen the pain for me but each movement seemed to just tear me apart. It's not that I haven't been through worse pain. But, it still hurts. I needed to see my flower. Maybe this pain would be gone.

Somehow, thinking of her eased all of my pains I finally got off the bed and limped my way to the desk where Eleanor kept a thin white shirt for me. Quickly putting it on, I limped my way to the door. And, as I was about to open it I heard a voice. It didn't belong to flower. The voice was of a man.

"El, do you think you make the right choice?" The voice asked my flower. El? How dare he call my flower by a nickname. I could understand the kids. But, I'm not that understanding enough to fucking let any man call my angel by a nickname.

I quickly existed the room, and walked to living room which was only five steps away. And, what I saw there made my blood boil in my veins. A man had his hand on my flower's shoulder.

I swear, I couldn't see anything but red after that. As before I could even process it a shout had already left my lips.

"GET AWAY FROM HER!"
