"I'll see you tomorrow, alright?" my hand cupped Christine's cheek. After I had cleaned her body, we stayed on the couch while she lay in my arms, as much to my distaste to remove my scent. We didn't say anything, just basked in each other's presence.

We had done more than we should have. The bond was too powerful for us to ignore, and she had no clue. There would be a time when I had to tell her that she was my beloved, my second chance at having a soul mate, but now wasn't the time.
