SCARLETT.

I opened my eyes and he was gone. I looked around expecting to see a belonging of his but it wasn't in the room either. Did he leave me without fulfilling his promise? No. He wouldn't do that to me.

I quickly put on my dress and rushed out of the hotel. Then I hailed a cab which took me to the hospital. My mom was in this hospital and she was sick with cancer. Khan had promised to heal her if I slept with him. Yes, I lost my first time to a vampire because I wanted him to heal my mother with his blood.

I dashed into the room and saw my mother sitting up on the bed and eating cereal. My eyes watered seeing her sit for the first time in two months. She had been in pain and wasn't able to eat through her mouth. It was such a relief seeing her like this.

“Mom,” I called and rushed to her.

Once she sighted me, she smiled. And then she held my hand before pulling me toward herself. I buried my head in her chest and she gently lowered her head.

“Why did you make a deal with a monster, Scarlett?” Her voice was an inch beyond a whisper. I froze in her body. How did she know?

I gently disengaged and then looked at her.

“You have to run away from him, Scarlett. You shouldn't be relating with the monsters of Bantam. They never keep the side of their deal, they never do that.” She looked into my eyes saying the words. I almost believed her but I knew that it was untrue. Khan kept his end of the deal.

“Mom, you are just being paranoid. You are fine now and that is what matters. If you want us to leave, we can do that but don't get worried about Khan,” I said.

Mom shook her head and then she was about to speak when blood slipped out of her mouth. Her face morphed into a different shade causing me to stand in fear.

What is happening?

And then she started to cough, holding onto me tightly.

“Mom, are you okay?” I asked. More blood gushed out of her mouth and then I tried to rush to the doctor to help her but she held my hand tightly, stopping me.

“Runnn... Far away from him!” Those were her last words to me. I lost my mother that day. The doctor informed me that the vampire blood in her system fastened the entire cancer stage leading to her death.

“Do vampires know their blood can't heal cancer?” I asked Doctor Lucas and then he nodded his head with a sad expression on his face.

There and there I realized that Khan was a monster. He purposely killed my mother. He knew that his blood wouldn't be able to heal her but he went ahead and gave it to her. Mother was right, I shouldn't have made a deal with the devil himself. After my mom’s burial rite, I left the city. I needed to listen to my mother this time, I needed to run and never come back.

Three Years Later.

MANYON CITY.

“Fuck Khan, fuck me!” I yelled, rolling my eyes backward and biting down on my lower lips. Both of my hands pressed against his hard and rigid chest.

“You like it? Tell me how much you like it.” He grabbed both my hands abruptly and then pushed them above my head while using his other hand to motion my face to watch him ram into me. Khan gave another hard trust that shook my body until I couldn't bite on my lower lips anymore.

“Yes, scream it. Say it, that you love it. Don't deny, baby girl.” His obsidian eyes were darker than usual, his fangs were out and hungry for my blood. He was hoisting me, breaking every part of me until I was a mess below him.

This shouldn't be happening yet I loved it. Every thrust was a breaking point. Every sigh that came from him was a turning point. Every contact was breaking me badly.

“Yes, Khan, I love it. I love it so much.” I cried shamelessly.

A patient was rushed into the ward, she had blood around her neck and there was no need to be informed that it was the bite of a vampire. Here in Manyon City, Vampires crawl. The sight reminded me that I had a child with a one-night crawler and there was a tendency for my child to be a vampire as well.

“Scarlet focus and get me the antibiotics!” One of the eldest doctors, Mirabel yelled at me. Although she wasn't always like this, she loved me and I loved her too. She was Liam’s mother. Liam was my boyfriend.

I still did not know how to explain to Liam that I constantly had sex in dreams with the same man who purposely killed my mother. It was useless, I wouldn't tell him. We were able to treat the bite on the lady’s neck and we were sure she wouldn't die from the bite.

I was exhausted for the day so I went into the locker room to take a bath when my best friend and roommate walked in.

“I heard you moaning earlier, do you miss Liam?” She asked pulling her shirt and revealing her black bra. Bianca wasn't as endowed when it came to boobs but she had the perfect thick thighs and ass. She was meant to be a model but had to have a passion for seeing blood.

Unlike me, I didn't have boobs or breasts. When it was time to feed Clara breast milk, I had to pump for several hours. I sometimes envy those with big boobs. Anyway, that was beside the point.

“I was moaning, my snore sometimes sounds like that.” I lied smoothly, getting into the bathroom.

Bianca got in the other one with a sly laugh, I knew that she didn't believe me but it didn't matter. Liam and I had never had sex because his touch sometimes irked me. I had only sexed one man and that man was torturing me.

After the bath, I changed into my home clothes and then carried my bag.

“Are you coming home today?” I asked.

“No, my baby daddy wants to see me.” She gave me a pathetic look.

Bianca and I met at the hospital. We had one thing in common, our baby daddy didn't want the child. Technically, my baby daddy didn't even know I was pregnant. Anyway, she usually met with her baby daddy every three months for feeding allowance and I think they make out or something. Well, I did not know him because she never talked about him.

“Okay.” And with this, I walked out of the locker room. I went to submit my identity card at the front desk when it suddenly went dark.

“Goodness!” I shouted, flinching. The next second, I heard sounds that made my heart jump in my chest. Was it a nightwalker? Was I going to die today? No, please, Clara needed her mother.

And then suddenly, the light came back on. By this time, my eyes were shut and I was scared of opening them because I didn't know what I would see.

“Open your eyes, sweetheart.”

“Liam?” I dashed them open but I wished that I had kept them shut.

“Will you marry me, Scarlett?” He asked the question I dreaded for the five years that we had known each other.

“Say yes! Say yes! Say Yes!” Everyone screamed, including my best friend, Bianca.
