Chapter 45: The Sports Festival: The Kendo Tournament

“Hyaaaaah men-bu!” shouted by the player called ‘kendoka’ with full of spirit as he stomp his foot in front and strongly strikes his opponent in the head wearing a kendo head protector, using the ‘shinai’ or bamboo sword. The two referee standing in the side raises the white flag indicating he gain a point. This was demonstrated by the Kendoka towards the students.

The students are inside an enormous gym, divided in 3 columns for players who were about to play kendo, with basic or as for beginners. Kendo is a traditional Japanese martial Art, which descended from swordsmanship and uses bamboo swords that also called as ‘shinai’ and a protective armor that they called as ‘bogu’.
