The Rising dead: The abandoned cabin

Thomas walked to the abandoned place that belonged to Thompson’s late grandmother, he had no problem following his instructions and in no time he was at the place.

The cabin was not that far removed from society, a couple of yards away and the town would be visible, but it was clear that no one walked near it and probably if asked they would deny its existence or just treat it like a haunted place.

There was a small path leading up to it but surrounding it was tall grass and he could probably hear rabbits or other rodents moving through it.

It was an old construction and it was abandoned long ago, it had a dilapidated look and you could see through some parts of it, the windows were cracked and the door was broken and it was held by the lower hinge and it was ajar.

Thomas silently walked up to the house and took a look, it was a complete mess: construction wood on the floor, the odd mice and a scent of rust and mold.
