FAZER LOGIN[Aurora's POV]
Mrs. Racheal's family had already arrived to check on her, and of course, I had to call them over. There was already so much drama happening. It seemed like almost everyone in town had gathered to witness what happened. At this point, I was exhausted. Her entire family was there—her children, in-laws, distant relatives, and several people I didn't even bother asking about. And, of course, they couldn't leave without thanking me repeatedly. “Thank you so much, Miss Aurora.” “God bless you.” “We don't know what we would have done without you.” Honestly, they'd already paid me. The excessive gratitude wasn't necessary, I rolled my eyes. I'd probably get recommended to half the town after this. Wait. What was I saying? I smacked my head. I didn't need more patients right now. I needed a break, a long one. Then her husband whom was so excited that he almost hugged me, not after I gave him a glare did he stop. So shameless. I understood, not really, that he was happy, but he'd better not try that again. He slowly backed away. Good. He completely ruined my mood. Ella noticed the shift in my mood and tapped my shoulder, trying to cheer me up. I looked up at her, she gave me a smile which I returned. Then she moved closer to me leaning towards me and whispered something into my ear before walking away. I watched as she walked out iw I was alone with these people. “Miss Aurora, thank you so much.”I turned toward the voice. Her daughter. And just like that, my hardened heart melted. She was seated beside her mother on the bed, who had her arms wrapped tightly around her. They looked genuinely happy. I smiled. Now, if only I could get this whole thing over with. “So, when can my mum come home?” her daughter asked. The gods bless her. I breathed out excitedly. I'd been waiting for that question forever. “Actually, I have good news. Again.” I paused, looking around until I had everyone's attention. “Mrs. Racheal is healthy enough to go home with you. She doesn't need to stay again as she's fully recovered.” I said it straight to the point before giving her daughter a smile. I couldn't remember her name. And honestly, I wasn't going to bother trying. My break was finally within reach. Her husband, on the other hand, looked worried. I couldn't care anyways, it's not my problem anymore. “And to add to that, I'm going to be taking a leave from work.” I said it quickly, giving him my best fake smile. Then I turned toward his daughter. “Did you like the news?”I already knew she would. She nodded happily. “Good.” I glanced around the room. “You can all leave whenever you're ready. There's no need to wait for me. I'll be busy.” That probably sounded like an excuse. Because it was. I might like treating people but I hated crowds. I left the family to spend some time together. Finally. I was alone. I stood in my room for a moment, enjoying the silence. Ella had left earlier because of an emergency, or at least that's what she'd said. It was probably her wrecked and wretched parents again. They were both useless and a complete pain in the ass. I sighed and headed toward the bathroom. A bubble bath sounded perfect. I deserved one. Actually, I deserved an entire week of doing absolutely nothing. I needed to start packing too. I was only going to the beach, so I didn't need to take much. Hopefully, I could convince Ella to come with me. Even if she said no, I'd still try. I wasn't spending my break alone. ********* [Roman's POV] Being either a leader or owner of a clan could be exhausting but there's always a fun part to it. There are always problems to be encountered that needed to be dealt with, people to control, and enemies waiting for the slightest opportunity to strike. I'd just received a call about one of my shipments arriving earlier than expected, which meant my trip had to be put on hold. I could go another day. I couldn't afford to leave while there was business to handle. So instead, I drove to one of the many operations I owned. A nightclub. To an outsider, it looked like an ordinary club. At night, however, it served an entirely different purpose. It was one of the places where I handled some of my operations. And, of course, it wasn't the only one. I stepped out of the car with Kingsley beside me and guards trailed behind us as we headed toward the entrance. My expression remained emotionless. My mind was already focused on business. “So, have the shipments arrived?” I asked Kingsley as we walked inside. At work, he was my right hand. There were no friendships here. No family ties. No special treatment. We were here to do business. If he disobeyed me, he'd be dealt with like everyone else. “Yes, Don. They're being loaded into the basement.” That was good news. “Any problems encountered?” “Yes, Don.” I stopped walking. He took that as a cue to start talking. “There were unknown attacks a few hours ago. The attackers are still unknown, but we managed to capture one of them before the rest escaped.” Another problem. My jaw tightened. My mood already spoilt and when it was, people suffered whether innocent or not. It was always the same kind of riffraff trying to steal what wasn't theirs. But this felt different. Someone was behind these attacks. The question was, Who? I already had a few guesses, but I wasn't stupid enough to act without evidence. Jumping to conclusions could start a war. And as much as I enjoyed watching my enemies tear each other apart, now wasn't the time. Not yet. I turned to leave. "And Don" I stopped as Kingsley called out to me. " The informations you asked about" he didn't go into details, can't risk letting anyone know about my son's sickness. "I already sent it to your email" I nodded and resumed my walk. This wasn’t important for now. I'd deal with the one we'd captured first. I'd use him as a tool to vent out my anger. Those kinds never betray their clans. That was something I actually admired. Loyalty was rare but he's not leaving here alive.[Aurora's POV] After everything, I finally opened the door to their boss, I guessed. He was actually dressed casually, unlike the others who were wearing suits. I couldn't help but shake my head as I thought about it. He looked completely different from the men who had come to my house earlier. But he did have an intimidating aura but of course it can't work on me. He let himself into my home, and honestly, I didn't even have the strength to fight with him anymore. I was already tired from everything that had happened this morning. Besides my holiday has been canceled so I just decided to hear him out and see what he actually wanted. He narrated to me the story behind his son's trauma, and honestly, I felt really emotional. Someone I knew had gone through almost the same situation, but unfortunately, died without ever getting any cure. The memory suddenly came back to me while he was talking, and I quickly had to get a hold of myself before I started crying again. I sto
[Aurora's POV] “Nope. Wrong person.” I quickly said it, already trying to close the door. I didn't even wait for a response but just as the door was about to close, someone's leg got stuck between it. I froze. Slowly, I opened the door again and faced the man, already feeling irritated. “What?” He didn't look bothered by my attitude. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out something. A picture. He held it out toward me. My heart dropped. I stared at the picture. Then at him. Then back at the picture. It was me.I'm so dead. “Isn't this you?” he asked. “Miss Aurora Hayes?” I breathed out, knowing I was already caught. So much for pretending they had the wrong person. “Okay…” I stared at him suspiciously. “What do I owe the visit?” I asked as I tried to sound confident, but honestly, I was starting to feel a little afraid. I looked past him. A black car was parked outside. The windows were completely tinted, making it impossible to see who was inside. Who were these
[Roman's POV] After leaving the club, I went straight to the dungeon. Calling it a dungeon was probably generous. It was an underground prison beneath my house, built to keep certain problems away from prying eyes. The government couldn't meddle in my business if they didn't know where to look. I couldn't afford to leave clues behind. The place was dark, cold, and unpleasant enough to make most people turn around the moment they stepped inside. But whoever was brought down here never came out alive. I stepped inside a cell which was located deeper into the dungeon and spotted our prisoner. He was secured to a chair in the middle of the room, his clothes dirty and his entire face covered with a nylon bag. It must be suffocating. He looked up when he heard my footsteps. I smiled. “Hi.” Nothing. Not even a response. People could be incredibly rude. I walked closer and removed the nylon covering his face. His mouth was covered with a metal lock. Then his eyes met mine. He loo

Roman’s POV Even after Ronn changed... He still remembered Kingsley. It had taken me months before my own son could even look at me without fear. But with Kingsley? It was different. Ronn trusted him. Then he began to walk away then sat on the bench beside the lake. I was still watching Ronn when Kingsley coughed, pulling my attention back to him. Ronn had settled on the bench, his gaze fixed somewhere in the distance. Kingsley's expression had turned serious. “You seem to be blind and foolish, even as a Don.” I raised an eyebrow. Normally, I wouldn't tolerate anyone speaking to me like that. But Kingsley was different. He was my brother from another mother, and I'd always been willing to listen to his advice. “Why do you say that?” I asked calmly, waiting for him to explain. “Why would you say that in front of him?” he asked. “Say what?” I said confused at what he meant. “Did you see his expression after he heard you say that? You're his father. You're supposed to suppo
[Roman’s POV] “Don!” I turned toward the maid standing at the entrance. I walked not wanting anyone inside. She was breathing heavily, her face pale. At the same time, I noticed a faint blush on her cheeks. She really had the guts to blush in a situation like this?“Miss Ava has been transferred successfully to the hospital.” She paused, struggling to catch her breath. “The doctors said she’s in a coma.” My jaw tightened. Ava was in a coma? I hadn't expected it to be this serious.Ronn had really gone too far this time. Speaking of him...“And Ronn?” Her eyes immediately dropped to the floor what was she looking at. My mood turned sour which she felt as her body began to tremble slightly. Good she should feel that I'll take no nonsense from anyone especially a mere maid. “We don't know where Master Ronn is.” Silence. The silence irritated me more than anything. My fingers slowly curled into a fist.“You don't know where my son is?” They were completely incompetent. Useless fools. “
