FAZER LOGIN[Roman's POV]
After leaving the club, I went straight to the dungeon. Calling it a dungeon was probably generous. It was an underground prison beneath my house, built to keep certain problems away from prying eyes. The government couldn't meddle in my business if they didn't know where to look. I couldn't afford to leave clues behind. The place was dark, cold, and unpleasant enough to make most people turn around the moment they stepped inside. But whoever was brought down here never came out alive. I stepped inside a cell which was located deeper into the dungeon and spotted our prisoner. He was secured to a chair in the middle of the room, his clothes dirty and his entire face covered with a nylon bag. It must be suffocating. He looked up when he heard my footsteps. I smiled. “Hi.” Nothing. Not even a response. People could be incredibly rude. I walked closer and removed the nylon covering his face. His mouth was covered with a metal lock. Then his eyes met mine. He looked at me, enraged. I laughed out. Most men couldn't hold my gaze for more than a few seconds. This one did. Interesting. I almost admired his confidence. Almost. But confidence wouldn't save him. I glanced toward the guards who had followed me inside. “Leave.” My face returned to its stern look. Immediately, they bowed their heads and left. The heavy door slammed shut behind them. Silence filled the room. Finally. Just me and my prisoner. I slowly walked toward the wall where my collection of torture items was kept. They were chosen after a series of tests on some unlucky subjects. I put on my gloves. I'd hate to get them dirty. I ran my fingers along the tools: a rusted hammer, an electric shocker—I remember using this on a particular person, which was definitely a sight to behold—a crown made with metal surrounded by thorns with dried blood on it, a big, heavy chain, a rope with rough edges, and a crowbar. “Hmmmm.” “What's that?” I paid no attention to him. Still, there was a lot to choose from, but I'll start. I took the crowbar, memories flashing through my mind. Some had been used more times than I cared to remember. I glanced back at the prisoner. He was still watching me. Still silent. Still confident. I smiled. “You know,” I said, walking back toward him, “I actually admire people who know how to keep their mouths shut.” He said nothing. “But everyone has a limit.” I pulled a chair across from him and sat down. I had no intention of making this quick. Not until I found out who had sent him. I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the chair. “Let's start with something simple, shall we?” I moved closer to him and unlocked the metal locking his mouth then returned back to my seat letting the silence settle. “Who sent you?” My smile disappeared. He remained silent. “Wrong answer.” I slammed the crowbar into his hand, making a hole in it. “Argh,” he screamed out, then blood began to trail down his battered hands. “You ready to talk?”Still quiet. No problem. I like them difficult. I moved beside the wall where he was tied and flicked the switch. Then the real show began. He began screaming as electricity traveled down his body. Increasing the voltage to its highest level, his screams increased, and his skin began to change colors. I moved towards the caller by the wall. I pressed a button. "Bring a bucket of water" My new phone pinged with a notification. Must be the information I asked for. I brought out my phone, his voice fading into the background. The therapist's information displayed on the screen. I tapped on it. * NAME : Aurora Hayes *AGE: 23 years I paused. Twenty three? Wasn't she too young to be a therapist. I frowned but continued reading. * EDUCATION: None. Now this seemed like a problem. * RELATIONSHIP STATUS : Dating * FAMILY : Dead. That's all? I breathed out, already frustrated. I had no choice. I walked heading towards the door, I dialed Kingsley's number. As I reached outside I see the guards there while one of them held a bucket of water. They all kept their heads lowered. "Take over" I said, they bowed and entered the room. The prisoners screams still heard then it died down. He wasn't going to talk anyways. "Where are you? " I asked then I cut the call. In few minutes, he's already be my side. "Never again." I said as he nodded his head in understanding. "Is my flight ready?" I began walking out of the dungeon. "Yes Don. It leaves in twenty minutes." "I don't need to tell you what to do in my absence. Don't know how many days I'll be gone, keep watch of my son." "Of course, Don" ******** [Aurora's POV] "Come on Ella. Pretty please?" I begged Ella on my knees. She breathed in for the umpteenth time at my behavior. "I've told you already Aurora. Stop making things difficult for me" she replied already getting annoyed. "My parents would never let me and I can't leave without their permission even if I wanted to. You know how much trouble it would get me" "But...." “No.” She didn't even let me finish. I frowned. “You haven't even heard what I was going to say.” “Because I already know what you're going to say.”she paused. "Stop being so selfish!" she said as she rolled her eyes and continued walking toward her house. [End of Flashback] An hour later after our argument, I'm seated in my room wallowing in sadness. I still couldn't believe that she'd say that to me. Me? Selfish? I'm anything but selfish. Right? Now I can't go for my vacation. I don't want to go by myself. At least she'd have had fun too. I picked up my pillow and hugged it tightly. I had been looking forward to this vacation for weeks. I'd already imagined everything. The places we'd visit. The food we'd eat. The pictures we'd take. What's the point of going on vacation when you don't have anyone to enjoy it with? I sighed and rolled onto my other side. “What am I supposed to do with my vacation?”I stared blankly at the wall. Everything suddenly seemed boring. I didn't even know what I wanted anymore. I pulled the blanket over myself and closed my eyes. Maybe sleeping would help. My mind continued running through everything that had happened with Ella. I couldn't believe she had called me selfish. I was still thinking about it when my eyelids slowly became heavier. Before I knew it, I drifted off to sleep. It wasn't up to ten minutes when I heard a knock on my door. "Urggg. Not now" I breathed out still feeling sleepy. I groggily walked towards the living room headed toward the door. "Who is it?" heard no reply. "You'd better have a good reason for disturbing me" I mumbled. As I opened the door, I see two men in black suit, they move aside as another one comes forward but he's wearing a different color. "Hello. Miss Aurora" he said.[Aurora's POV] After everything, I finally opened the door to their boss, I guessed. He was actually dressed casually, unlike the others who were wearing suits. I couldn't help but shake my head as I thought about it. He looked completely different from the men who had come to my house earlier. But he did have an intimidating aura but of course it can't work on me. He let himself into my home, and honestly, I didn't even have the strength to fight with him anymore. I was already tired from everything that had happened this morning. Besides my holiday has been canceled so I just decided to hear him out and see what he actually wanted. He narrated to me the story behind his son's trauma, and honestly, I felt really emotional. Someone I knew had gone through almost the same situation, but unfortunately, died without ever getting any cure. The memory suddenly came back to me while he was talking, and I quickly had to get a hold of myself before I started crying again. I sto
[Aurora's POV] “Nope. Wrong person.” I quickly said it, already trying to close the door. I didn't even wait for a response but just as the door was about to close, someone's leg got stuck between it. I froze. Slowly, I opened the door again and faced the man, already feeling irritated. “What?” He didn't look bothered by my attitude. Instead, he reached into his pocket and pulled out something. A picture. He held it out toward me. My heart dropped. I stared at the picture. Then at him. Then back at the picture. It was me.I'm so dead. “Isn't this you?” he asked. “Miss Aurora Hayes?” I breathed out, knowing I was already caught. So much for pretending they had the wrong person. “Okay…” I stared at him suspiciously. “What do I owe the visit?” I asked as I tried to sound confident, but honestly, I was starting to feel a little afraid. I looked past him. A black car was parked outside. The windows were completely tinted, making it impossible to see who was inside. Who were these

[Aurora's POV] Mrs. Racheal's family had already arrived to check on her, and of course, I had to call them over. There was already so much drama happening. It seemed like almost everyone in town had gathered to witness what happened. At this point, I was exhausted. Her entire family was there—her children, in-laws, distant relatives, and several people I didn't even bother asking about. And, of course, they couldn't leave without thanking me repeatedly. “Thank you so much, Miss Aurora.” “God bless you.” “We don't know what we would have done without you.” Honestly, they'd already paid me. The excessive gratitude wasn't necessary, I rolled my eyes. I'd probably get recommended to half the town after this. Wait. What was I saying? I smacked my head. I didn't need more patients right now. I needed a break, a long one. Then her husband whom was so excited that he almost hugged me, not after I gave him a glare did he stop. So shameless. I understood, not really, that he was hap
Roman’s POV Even after Ronn changed... He still remembered Kingsley. It had taken me months before my own son could even look at me without fear. But with Kingsley? It was different. Ronn trusted him. Then he began to walk away then sat on the bench beside the lake. I was still watching Ronn when Kingsley coughed, pulling my attention back to him. Ronn had settled on the bench, his gaze fixed somewhere in the distance. Kingsley's expression had turned serious. “You seem to be blind and foolish, even as a Don.” I raised an eyebrow. Normally, I wouldn't tolerate anyone speaking to me like that. But Kingsley was different. He was my brother from another mother, and I'd always been willing to listen to his advice. “Why do you say that?” I asked calmly, waiting for him to explain. “Why would you say that in front of him?” he asked. “Say what?” I said confused at what he meant. “Did you see his expression after he heard you say that? You're his father. You're supposed to suppo
[Roman’s POV] “Don!” I turned toward the maid standing at the entrance. I walked not wanting anyone inside. She was breathing heavily, her face pale. At the same time, I noticed a faint blush on her cheeks. She really had the guts to blush in a situation like this?“Miss Ava has been transferred successfully to the hospital.” She paused, struggling to catch her breath. “The doctors said she’s in a coma.” My jaw tightened. Ava was in a coma? I hadn't expected it to be this serious.Ronn had really gone too far this time. Speaking of him...“And Ronn?” Her eyes immediately dropped to the floor what was she looking at. My mood turned sour which she felt as her body began to tremble slightly. Good she should feel that I'll take no nonsense from anyone especially a mere maid. “We don't know where Master Ronn is.” Silence. The silence irritated me more than anything. My fingers slowly curled into a fist.“You don't know where my son is?” They were completely incompetent. Useless fools. “
