The Villain
I don't usually come through this forest during the day. Afraid of being spotted by patrols. So it feels a little strange as I slip through the passageways below the fallen tree.
I press the stone and after a few seconds the latch above my head opens up and an eye leers down at me. "Pierce? What are you doing here? Malcolm said you're not supposed to come back here."
"My Dad texted me this morning said he needed my help with the patients," I said.
Jacob narrowed his eyes. "Are you sure?"
"Am I sure my Dad texted me and I didn't hallucinate it? Yes, I am. Now open up," I snap.

The VillainI pad down the stairs, impressed with the fact that I got ready for school with only three-quarter of my brain still dead to the world. I yawn obnoxiously as I enter the kitchen but that yawn quickly turns into unladylike hacking as gusts of smoke enter my mouth. I bat the fumes away and rush for the window above the sink, shoving a body away to get to it.Once a significant amount of smoke had cleared the room I turned to Gia, who was sitting around the tiny round table, a cigarette in her hand. There were already three lit cigarette buds in the ashtray, I glower at her."Are you trying to kill the girl?" I snap at her as Maya wiggles out from behind me. She'd been dutifully cooking over the stove while my mother polluted the air.

The VillainThe rest of the week is as uneventful as any other. Everyone is preparing for the upcoming Ball on Saturday. But surprisingly, they aren't the only ones. Gia is especially excited, taking a liking to the idea of sweet Freya as the Luna of the South Crescent Pack.Freya doesn't put up much of a fight as mother bounces around the house making calls and organizing a dress for her daughter to wear to entice the Alpha. Frankly, this is the first time I've seen my mother invested in something that doesn't involve drugs and dick so I'm all for it.I blow a strand of unruly hair from my forehead and run a hand down my uniform, smoothing over what I'm sure are wrinkles since I was in a rush this afternoon.
