Maddison, Is That You?

"Mum, don't go, please" She hugged the almost lifeless body to her self, tears kept running down her face like a dam.

"Dear, go escape, just keep running, live your life to the fullest" The almost lifeless body was weak as life was draining out of her, the eyes were almost closing.

"Mum, please, I beg you" Her voice became more cracked when the almost lifeless body slipped out of her hands, the body was cold indicating that the figure was dead.

She had no choice, she kept the lifeless body on the wooden floor, she kept running, that was all she remembered when she woke up.

Madison woke up feeling drenched, she was sweating badly and her heartbeat was rising over normal, her face was blurry and her vision was blocked, she managed to glance at the time, it was just 2.AM in the midnight, her body was all wet due to the sweat, her face held a panic expression, her trauma was taking over her again.

Balancing on the bed, she managed to get up to go to the kitchen to get a warm glass of milk.

After drinking the milk, she was a little refreshed, though she was still shivering, dreaming those kind of dream was a routine, ever since the bad incident, she never forgot about her mother, her eyes glistened in the dark, her dark eyes was so dark that one would imagine it was a devil, when she was little, they use to be tilted her of her eyes, some would say it was too dark that she looked like a devil, but she really didn't care.

She went back to the bedroom and laying on the bed, her heartbeat went back to normal, she wiped away the sweat from her forehead gazing at nothing, she fished out her phone to chat with her boyfriend, Scott.

"Hi" She texted.

"Did you had one of those bad dreams again?" He replied almost immediately, he kinda had the feeling  she would dream those dream again, so he stayed awake because of her, and it warmed his heart to see that she texted him first.

"Yes I did, but it was not as bad as before, so don't get so worried about me, I am fine" she stressed the word on 'fine' she wouldn't want him getting so much worried about her.

"Alright dear" He texted back.

"Um, I am taking a leave from work tomorrow, so I can't come, I want to go shopping and maybe take a break from all these drama, I have to strategized my plan, and find for more allies" she texted, her back testing against the bed.

"Alright, but out of all these, remember about your safety, I love you" 

"I love you too"

After chatting for a while, she went back to sleep, at least she slept soundly but not heartily for a little while.

 The next day, she decided to go shopping so she took a leave from work, too bad Aubrey wanted to disgrace her at work today, but she wasn't coming.

She was gazing at the Apple in front of her thinking whether to buy it or not, she held the Apple in her hands thinking whether to buy it, it would make a nice apple pie she thought, she was still contemplating whether to buy it when she had a shrill yet gentle voice.

"Madison, is that you?" The voice spoke out tenderly.

Madison turned to look only to find her college friend, Phoebe, and to her surprise Phoebe was with a child.

"Phoebe?" Madison voice held surprise, after a few seconds, the long time friends were embracing heartily.

"How have you been?" Madison asked as she took a glance to the little girl beside her.

"Well, things has change a lot of things,this is my daughter Lilly" Phoebe smiled.

Lilly gave out a polite smile as she was told by her mother, the little girl was about five years old.

Madison smiled pinching the little girl cheeks  affectionately.

"What about you?" Phoebe asked looking at her best friend, her and her friend really hit it  up when they were in college, Phoebe was really surprised to see Madison changed, she no longer had her platinum red hair but it was dyed to jet black, and her dark eyes became more darker, in college, Madison was the stubborn type of person, the villainess that always appeared in every story. She was reckless and didn't cared what others thought about her, but here Madison was looking calm and well composed.

"A lot of things happened" Madison led them both to where they were to eat. After ordering pizza and coke they began to chat heartily. Though Phoebe didn't know about Madison past or anything about her personal life, she was just her room mate and best friend, Madison had multiple identities, so Phoebe didn't know about her past or how she suffered.

"So your daughter?" Madison pointed to the little girl who was busy with her pizza and coke "So you got married?" Madison asked.

Phoebe sighed "story for another day, okay?" 

"Alright Alright" Madison smiled "So where do you work?"

"Well, I own a fashion shop, and I am an investor and shareholder, and I own a hacker group" Phoebe smiled, and Madison reaction changed but was quick enough to revert it, She remembered when she herself was a CEO.

After all the friendly chat, they exchanged phone numbers and other seemingly information before they parted ways.

And then, Madison continued with her shopping. One ally gained, more to go.
