He whined, “Aw, c’mon, love. Can’t I just get a peek? It’s the first time I will get to see you in formal wear.” I laughed, “You are not going to ruin the surprise. We spent the rest of the day walking around and just enjoying each other’s company. After supper, we sat in the sitting room with Chloe, Chumani and Brenna just talking about things when Sebastian finally asked, “Okay, I would love to know, how did my mate end up with a dragon for an aunt?” We all laughed and Chloe started, “When I was a child, Luna Abby saved me from an abusive babysitter and took me under her wing. You see, I am an oracle. I have been seeing future events for as long as I can remember and drawing them since I was old enough to hold a pencil. After my parents died, my grandmother raised us, but Luna Abby continued to be our babysitter. She was pregnant with Nico and Ashina at the time, so she was happy to have some extra help, even though I was only five or six years old. When we walked to the river’s edge, there was a podium with a light. We all sat on the benches provided and waited for everyone else to arrive. About thirty minutes after we sat down, a noise up front got our attention and Selene appeared as soon as our gazes were in that direction. When everyone calmed down, Selene started, “King Uther Dash was a caring, generous man. I created his dragon to give him the courage and ferocity it would take to rule with an even hand. He loved his kingdom and his family. He joined this kingdom with other species in a multi-species alliance. By the time everyone was done speaking, the sun was at the point where it looked like it was resting on the edge of the lake. Six dragon warriors carried his body to a wooden raft that was full of flowers where two mermen waited in the water. Once his body was gently lowered to the raft, the warriors bowed their heads and walked back to Queen Chumani’s side. The mermen bowed to the queen and lowered themselves underwater. Soon, King Uther’s body was floated into the rising sun. When it was a safe distance away, a dragon warrior shifted into his dragon and set fire to the raft. The mermen swam away and I sighed as I snuggled closer to my mate. Sebastian kissed the top of my head as a tear fell from my eye. Selene turned to all of us, “This concludes King Uther’s sending off,” then she disappeared. When we got back to the castle, we all walked to the dining hall for breakfast. We stayed in town for the better part of the day and went back to the castle at sundown. When we got there, my parents were in the foyer. My dad sighed in relief, “We were thinking of coming to look for you two. We heard that there is a dark warlock in town who is looking for you.” My eyes went wide as I looked at Sebastian, “I wonder if that was the guy who was staring at me in the bakery?” He shrugged, “It could’ve been.” Dad asked, “Who are you talking about?” Sebastian explained, “There was a guy staring at her while we were at the bakery. I even suggested that I go talk to him.” Dad asked, “What did the guy do?” I explained, “I suggested we go do our thing and let him go. Now I’m wishing we hadn’t.” Dad agreed, “That was probably not the best idea, but we will just need to deal with it. You do still have the spell that keeps dark warlocks from using their magic on you and it keeps you from being teleported against your will. So, you are protected from that. Just be careful, baby

We all walked to Chloe’s suite and there were chairs set up for all of us. There was also a table with a variety of meats, cheeses, crackers, veggies and fruits set up, then another table of various pastries with drinks. I laughed, “Well, Chloe, it looks like you have it set up so that we won’t have to leave this room.” She laughed, “It was totally intentional. I also sent staff to go get your dresses and shoes from your mother’s closet.” I smiled, “You are a very wise woman. So, after the ceremony, should we come back here to change for the reception?” She nodded, “Definitely. This room is set up for that particular purpose tonight. It’s closer to the reception halls than your rooms are.” I nodded, “Perfect.” She smiled, “Don’t worry, your clothes and dresses from the ceremony will be taken to your rooms by the staff.” I sighed, “Thank you.” We all sat down and got comfortable while the stylists worked on our hair, two people at a time. I smiled at my mate as my dad nudged him and laughed, “Don’t you think you should’ve mind linked that?” Sebastian laughed, “I want everyone to know my mate is beautiful. I’m proud to have her by my side.” My dad responded, “That’s a perfect response. You were made to be my daughter’s mate. Now you better get to her before someone else tries to scoop her up.” Sebastian ran to her and held her hands, “You look so good, love.” I smiled as I looked upon my handsome mate, dressed in a tailored black suit with a sky-blue shirt and black tie, “Thank you, babe. You look amazing too.” He nodded in acknowledgement, “Shall we go see how many heads you turn in there?” I laughed, “I think we should go ahead and sit down.” We walked into the hall and took our seats next to my brothers. Micah leaned over and whispered in my ear, “You look beautiful, sis. Looks like I’m going to have to help your mate fight off some dragons.” I laughed, “I will fight alongside you.
