(Doris' POV)

“You should have never done it. All Snake had was you.”

“And he was a sacrifice meant to be made, how could I not do it?” His voice dropped to almost a whisper, remorse crept in.

My face softened and I halted, watching his moves. Who can tell, it might be another one of his numerous tricks to get new off my guard.

“You have done too much evil already, why would you want me dead too?”

“You have the guts to ask me that? Snake died because he was your follower, what more would bring me joy than your corpse?” He snapped, enraged and ready to strike again.

He's right about that, Snake might still be alive if he wasn't serving me. Maybe some of them really died because of me, and it's all my fault, but I won't let them die in vain. I'll seek the justice that their souls deserve.
