Cole threw the door open to see Jessica and Odred behind Brett. “What do you mean that wolves have gone rogue?” Cole demanded.

“I mean just that Alpha.” Brett was breathing hard and that was when Cole took a step back, away from Brett face, giving him room to breathe as he took notice of Brett’s appearance.

He had cuts and scrapes all over his face and arms. His clothes were soiled with mud and blood and Cole couldn’t tell if some of it were Brett’s own.

“What happened?” Cole asked.

“I wish that I could have an answer for you Cole but I don’t know. One minute everything was alright, the next, it was like a switch was flipped somewhere and half of the wolves in our settlements started attacking others. They caused serious damage while others tried to defend themselves and then in the middle of fighting them off, alarms started going off as other settlement started requesting for help.
