Kayla could not find Lucas when she arrived at school the next day. She had planned her day around him. She had been looking forward to seeing him. She had hoped that she would allow him to drive her home today and they would exchange numbers as well. But she could not find him in school. She walked to the car park to check for his car but it wasn't there. She really wished that she had his number. She felt sad and alone all of a sudden.

What was happening to her? Kayla asked herself, trying to shake herself back to her senses. Was she in love with this guy already?
