Alley POV: It's been a very busy year. After we had the twins everything else happened at once, the other women had their babies a few days after I did. We have spent so much time together while our mates moved forward with the castle for the counsel and we have decided that we were all going to move in it and keep our Betas and Gammas at the pack houses, we wanted all of our kids to be close with each other because something deep within me told me that when it is time they will resume to counsel. Ambrosia and Jackson built a new castle for themselves a little closer while leaving the previous one to those who needed a home. Pythia and Tye have done the same although their home isn't as large but still, they built something of their own to have. We decided that it was best that we stay closer together, we were suppose to have the ceremony for us but with all of us having the babies Athea decided to hold off and let us finish what we needed to, tomorrow is the celebration and l
Alley POV: Oh I am going to kill Stephen. Okay well it takes two but still! Stephen started rubbing my back and I growled out. "Whoa easy there Alley what's wrong?" Stephen said, jerking his hand away. I stood up and turned to him. "Rose told me that I am pregnant." I muttered. A huge grin started spreading across his face. "Is she sure? We can get a test. Or I can call Julie. This is good news!" Stephen said, visibly excited. I narrowed my eyes and placed my hands on my hips. "You're not excited?" Stephen asked. "Well the last time it was twins, even though I had an easy pregnancy my back hurt like hell and I looked like a bloated whale!" I yelled. I could tell Stephen was trying his hardest not to laugh at me and I felt overly emotional right now. "It's going to be okay princess I promise. I've called Julie to meet us here and I am having Alex and Brandon pick up the twins." Stephen said. I wanted to cry. I wanted to have a total meltdown. I felt the sting in my eyes and I couldn't
Alley POV: Today is the day we are officially announced as the counsel and honestly I am thrilled. We broke the news to everyone yesterday of my pregnancy and I was happy to learn that Ambrosia is also pregnant! She is farther along than I am but they kept it a secret until we were all together. I couldn't shake the sickness so Pythia had a calming tea made for me. She said it helped her through her pregnancy with Apollo. We are all curious to see if their kids will have traits of wolf and vampire but in time we will figure it out. As I finished dressing I took a long look at myself, with each year that passes my hair continues to grow more white. Not that I mind but in truth it is starting to look like Atheas hair. I often wondered what Raleigh looked like, I bet she was beautiful. One day I will get to meet her, a soft knock on the door before it opens to the most handsome man I have ever laid my eyes on. "You look beautiful and glowing princess." Stephen said, leaning against the
Alley POV: I heard gasps around the room and I knew this would be the reaction, "Yes, some of you knew Raleigh the precious great white witch, but Alley has proven she will hold her responsibilities with ease and pride, she fought bravely against Bosch and won, and it is my honor to introduce the two that will lead this council, Alpha Quincy my shield, Luna Alley, my Great White Witch of the Black Wood Pack!" Atheas voice boomed with pride and approval, the room exploded with cheers as we walked down the stairs and the room came in to view I could see a lot of them had shifted and were howling I could see my parents and my brothers with their mates crying and clapping, I held my head a little higher as pride swelled within me more than it already has. Packs that didn't know us looked to us with happiness, I held on tighter to Stephens arm. Not that I was afraid of anyone but I didn't want to trip on my own two feet and fall face first, that would be incredibly humiliating. As we reac
Alley POV: It was another day at the White Crest pack. The second biggest pack in our area. Our pack may only be the second largest, but we are the most respected. My dad has made allies with the packs closest to us to ensure everyone's safety from the rogues. It's always better to work together in larger numbers than it is to work alone and be outnumbered. Here lately the number of attacks has been higher than usual, and no one has been able to figure out why. They weren’t always so vile, most of them were born into it and don’t really know anything other than that, while the others turned rogue when they lost their mates or were banned from their packs. Once that happens, they turn crazed and demented. Some say it’s because they barely have a soul left. They finally figured out that they move better in packs, but no one knows who is in charge of them. Every pack has an Alpha, Beta and Delta. They attack for power and to make other people suffer the way they have; it's ne
Alley POV: I woke feeling much more refreshed than I thought I would, but nothing was going to kill my excitement for the day. Tonight is the night! Everyone in the pack has been so busy preparing for the wolf ball. I jumped from bed and straightened my hair and tossed on a skirt, button-up shirt and sandals. I didn’t want to overdo anything since I won’t be in this outfit for very long. When I was finished, I ran downstairs and was greeted by my family. “Alley, you look much better. You and your brothers are to greet the guests as you see them,” my father announced. I nodded my head; it was important that we are involved. It was always the same anytime we held an event. Greet the guests, make sure they get taken to their rooms to freshen up, make sure they don’t need anything. Me personally, I just liked to greet them and learn as many new names as I possibly could. I wouldn’t be an alpha or anything, but knowledge was always important to me. My brothers and I walked
Alley POV: When we arrived, I took notice of how neatly decorated the area was with canopies wrapped in lights and vines wrapping around the poles, several tables that had been covered with different color flowers and chairs each table sitting about fifteen people per pack. It had to be held outside because we don't have a room big enough to hold everyone. My mother had a huge flooring company come in and set wood flooring down outside so everyone could walk comfortably, mainly the women. Wearing high heels in the grass can be difficult at times. The floor reminded me of the inside of a tree with all the different markings, but it had a gloss coat over it to make it smooth. At the back of the floor there was a bar where people could go to get any extra drinks that they wanted. On the opposite side was where the food tables were. The tables where everyone would sit surrounded the outer edges of the floor leaving the middle open for those who wanted to dance. Overall, it was
Alley POV: Everything started moving in a flash. My brothers moved back to my side as my mate stood protectively in front of me pushing me further behind him. Realization hit me and I jumped into action barking orders at everyone close to me. "Get the women and children to the cellar and station the guards out front!" My brothers already knew I was in protection mode for my pack members and didn't stand in my way. "Get guards to the west border where they are attacking but spread out to each in case more show in different areas," my dad yelled out before jumping into his large gray wolf and sprinting off. My mother started herding all women and children to the cellar trying to calm everyone’s nerves especially the children. "Alley, come with me to the cellar!" my mother yelled out. "You go ahead, Mom. I will follow shortly," I replied shooing her mother to go with a group of women. Why would they choose now to attack? Anger bubbled inside of me. Surely if they
