Dylan

Knowing that this man was the husband Cassandra once loved and who treated her badly made me truly dislike him.

The first time I saw Cassandra again after such a long time with no contact, she looked utterly miserable. I knew she wasn’t the same Cassandra as before, she had been broken from the inside over and over again.

It was unbearable for me, someone who loves Cassandra. My heart ached so much seeing her like that, which is why I helped her. The sooner she can get away from that man, the better.

But the current situation doesn’t allow me to push her away from him right away, and showing my anger in front of Cassandra wouldn’t be a good thing either.

That uncomfortable feeling keeps growing every time I see the interaction between Miles and Sebastian, while Cassandra just silently watches.

I was hoping that things wouldn’t change the way that man wanted them to.

My head always feels dark whenever I’m around him, probably because of the burning anger I’m trying to hide.

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 125

CassandraMy relationship with Dylan has grown closer. Even at home, when we walk together, he always holds my hand. The gentle, approving looks from the people around us make me happy too. They support our relationship and wish for our happiness. I’m grateful for their kindness, but at the same time, I can’t help feeling anxious, afraid that I might somehow make a mistake.Glancing at Dylan beside me, I see him making sure Miles eats his vegetables properly. He even imitates chewing slowly, which looks absolutely adorable.Miles’s condition has improved so much, he can now go outside and enjoy the view of the city, of course always under supervision.“Where are you going?” I asked Ellen. It was morning, and she looked different, neatly dressed, with a faint smile on her face.“Today I’m going to a gathering with some old friends.” She looked happy about it.I was sure Ellen and Paul had many friends, they were both very sociable and often attended events in so many places. Not just i

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 124

CassandraSomething I never thought I would enjoy, something I once considered inappropriate. Feeling my whole body vibrate under Dylan’s touch. On the bed, with one of my hands tied, he held the other one tightly.“Dylan…” I called his name, struggling to speak because he had been kissing me nonstop. Then he trailed his way down from top to bottom, and I swear I was completely lost in the pleasure of what he was doing. His hand moved slowly across my belly, making it hard for me to breathe. He was so good at playing with his rhythm. There were moments when his eyes seemed to melt as he looked at me.Feeling as if I were floating, soft moans kept escaping my lips. Besides his dick, what I loved the most was the sound of his breath when he called my name. He tried his best to please me.I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him closer so our bodies pressed even tighter together. Yet he still managed to control his movements perfectly, until we were both exhausted, spent in shared

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 123

CassandraAfter thinking about it for quite a while, I now sat frozen in front of him. In this room, it was just the two of us, with a cup of warm tea prepared by Genna.Everything felt so excessive, and even after five minutes here, we hadn’t started talking, even the smallest movement felt heavy.Suffocating in this atmosphere, I exhaled.“If you don’t want to talk, then just leave.”I glanced at the door, it would open easily, and then he could go, letting me finally breathe properly. I thought that would be a win–win solution for both of us, right?A few months ago, I would never have imagined sitting together with Sebastian like this. I might have even felt disgusted with myself, because a small part of me could actually accept him sitting here. The reason, of course, had to do with Miles. I knew that. There was no other reason…“What I want to talk about is Milo.”He called him by that familiar name again, and I had already grown used to him acting that way.It sounded like a co

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 122

POV 3He furrowed his brows. There was something he remembered from a storybook that had been given to him. Even though he wasn’t even five years old yet, he was smart enough to read, or at least to understand the pictures in his storybooks. His grandma, Ellen, had given him many books, and whenever he saw something about family, Miles would stare at it deeply. He had a very warm family, and his curiosity made him realize that Dylan wasn’t actually his real father. He had once overheard it from the maids’ conversation, it shocked him a little, but he still loved Dylan very much.Dylan was his dad.Miles felt so happy with his life. The only thing he didn’t like was his illness. It made his family, especially his mother, so sad.Miles wished he could get better soon, so the people who loved him wouldn’t be sad anymore. He had been trying so hard to act like everything was fine, but the pain when it came back was always hard for him to handle. For him, his mom was the most important. Sh

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 121

CassandraHe didn’t notice my presence because he was so focused on Miles. I saw him taking a photo of Miles, who was happily walking barefoot on the grass.I studied Sebastian. He was smiling so happily, something I had always wished to see during our marriage. A kind of happiness that would fill our home and make everything feel warm and joyful. But back then, he made me suffer by constantly forcing me to give blood.Shifting my attention away, once again my thoughts returned to the past. Realizing I couldn’t let Miles stay outside too long, I approached him, and so did that man.Doubt almost made me stop moving, but I kept walking.“Miles.” I placed the blanket I’d been holding over his shoulders. He looked at me with a hint of resistance in his eyes since he had been refusing to wear the blanket.“The air’s getting colder. It’s time to go back inside now.”I hoped he would listen to me. But Miles’s small hand was holding Sebastian’s, as if he wanted the man to take his side.Sebas

  • The Wife He Never Wanted   Chapter 120

SebastianI tried to make myself lie down comfortably on the bed. The memory of what happened earlier was still so vivid. Honestly, I felt hurt by what Cassandra said, she claimed that I was the one who started it.She didn’t want to hear my explanation, and seeing how much she cared about Dylan cut my heart over and over again.Ever since they became involved, I knew that for her, Dylan would always be more valuable. She must have been terribly worried about him and surely would have tended to his wounds immediately. With this kind of pain, I couldn’t calm myself at all, I couldn’t even sleep. Then, Grandpa came to the house.Seeing a guest who hadn’t come here since Cassandra left was truly surprising.“Grandpa?” I greeted him with a heavy tone.He sat down on the sofa, and I sat across from him.“I’m going to give Sandra and Miles these assets,” he said, motioning with his finger, and James immediately presented the documents.Seeing that, I didn’t feel angry at all. I could even
