The Wife Of Great Demon King
The Wife Of Great Demon King
Author: Luna Lovegood

Chapter 1: Accident

"Luna...run away...run away..."

"Hahahahahahaha......I'm sorry to inform you, Luna Edwards, but your man has died. The man you loved is no longer alive. You will now be my bride, the wife of the world's most powerful demon king!"

"No way, no. He won’t die, he won’t die."

Luna's heart felt to suffocate. She looked forward, where the devil had attempted to strike her with a grin. Luna's tears flow instinctively as her companions attempt to save her from the horrors tearing at her soul.

"Will....Please tell me, please tell me that Leo isn't gonna die? Isn't Leo still living somewhere?" Luna couldn't believe her eyes. She continued to ask her pals headless questions. She appeared to have gone insane after learning that the guy she loved had turned to dust, "Will, he told me that he would protect me for the rest of his life, will live with me until the age of eighty. He won't die so easily, right?"

"Luna, calm down and listen!" Will's expression altered. He stared up at the enormous fire that was engulfing the sky with the demon king's laughing, "Leo is no longer alive. In this universe, there will be no more Leo Valdez, there will be no more that person. Please calm down, let's all get out of here. That demon is gonna murder you!"

"No… No, Leo already told me that he would never breach a commitment. He did make a vow...

Luna wailed in agony. Is this the best possible outcome for her? Humans and demons are incapable of having a happy ending. How can Luna imagine a happy ending for the two of them because every minute spent with that person is the happiest? The day she was willing to give up insignificant worldly things in order to live with that person, the day she was willing to be that person's wife but finally separated, never seeing again...

"If there is no beginning, there is no pain, right, Leo?"

Beep…Beep…Beep…

The sound of the ECG equipment in the emergency department continued to ring. The physicians in blue shirts were attempting to pump more blood and oxygen into the victim on the operating table.

The person on the operating table had lost consciousness, but she had a faint sensation that something awful was about to happen, something so horrific that it left the person in a profound coma that she had to weep.

"Professor Scott, the patient is in tears. Is it feasible that the patient has not yet entered a profound coma?"

When the surgeon observed the situation, he had to come to a halt. He was concerned that the patient was not truly comatose, and now that her entire chest cavity has been exposed, the injured areas are gradually progressively eliminated from the body

"Patient, patient, do you hear what we say?” Professor Scott said, he has never seen this case before, when a patient has fallen into a deep coma, it is very rare to have a case of tears like this. It seemed like she was in extreme pain that she cried like that, "If you're conscious, move your eyes slightly."

The girl's face was expressionless. Professor Scott continued to ask questions, but the girl appeared to be inattentive. The old professor exhaled a sigh of relief at this moment. He nodded to the surgeon, allowing them to proceed with the procedure.

"After removing the injured spleen, we began dissecting the liver. There are far too many swollen areas. Let us use extreme caution. If there is any bleeding, the patient's life will be jeopardized." The doctor cautioned his colleagues not to make any blunders.

It had been almost ten hours since the procedure had required much too much effort from the physicians attempting to preserve the girl's life. At 12 o'clock at night, the bleeding areas were ultimately treated and the girl's life was saved. Everyone in the operation room smiled at each other. Everyone was tired, but everyone was thrilled that they had saved this patient's life.

“William Miller!”

The sound of the operating room door opening, a doctor came out from inside. He was tired, but he dashed out to notify the patient's relatives, who were waiting expectantly. A young man, who appeared to be pretty young, sat outdoors. He was dressed in a blue suit and the same clothe as the other doctor.

"The surgery went well!" The doctor declared, "All of the damaged components were effectively removed. The patient has been sent to the ICU. She's still not totally awake, so let's go eat something and come back later."

"I knew you could do it, Professor Allen. Thank you, my family owes you a favor!" The young man exclaimed, almost crying, as if he had been sitting here for a long time.

"Debt to what!" Professor Allen exclaimed, slapping the young man on the shoulder, "It's our job to save lives, Professor Miller. I just didn't think this case would be this difficult and dangerous. After all, what happened to your sister that caused such big damage? There was a time in the operating room when I thought I wouldn't be able to save Luna anymore."

"It's a long story." Will said, "She was camping in the mountains and she was in an accident. Today it snowed severely. She was unfortunate to confront a new avalanche, which resulted in her injuries. Luna is not a fortunate child. It's been about twenty years since the two of us last found each other, but that time I just assumed I'd truly lost her."

"This world is full with miracles.  Luna is a good girl.  She will almost certainly have a lot of luck. By the way, have a cup of coffee," Professor Allen said, laughing and taking Will's arm. "I haven't eaten anything yet. Please covering me my evening."

Will grinned after nodding. Perhaps being able to save his sister, Luna, was the greatest miracle in the world for him. He would agree even if he had to use all of his money and career.

The ICU room is quite quiet today; the patients who have been transported here are all patients who have just saved from death; the nurses are reviewing the patients' information and reporting the situation to the doctor.

In room 1314, the girl with the wounds had barely spared death thanks to the doctors' hands; the girl was sliding into a profound coma; she appeared to be asleep, but her tears continued flowing; she seemed to have received a terrible thing, which made her feel extremely sad.

"Dr. Brown, you've arrived. Patient 0203 was able to temporarily discontinue mechanical ventilation and will be moved to the normal room tomorrow. This is a promising indicator." The nurse reported to the doctor, who had just input the information from the patient she had just examined.

The new doctor came, clutching the patient's medical record; he did not rush to check on patient 0203's condition, but instead proceeded to bed 1314 to monitor.

"This is Professor Allen's patient, who was just taken from the operating room an hour ago. The surgery was exceedingly risky, and it took the operating team ten hours to save the girl's life." The other nurse continued mentioning Professor Allen's accomplishments.

"All right, the patient's life has been saved. Professor Allen requested me to check on the patient's condition. Just do your works, and I'll inquire about the other patients later." Dr. Brown maintained a calm, quiet voice.

The nurse softly nodded and walked away. Dr. Brown rapidly approached the girl's hospital bed, his eyes sorrowful, his hand wanting to touch her hair, but he would make her hurt by every his move. Doctor Brown saw the girl's tears and gently wiped them away with his palm from the corners of her eyes.

"You hurt right? It's entirely my fault. It's entirely my fault, Luna. I will always defend you, my darling, as long as you can forget everything and live a better life."

Dr. Brown appeared to be sobbing, although there were no tears in his eyes. He appeared to be checking on the patient's health, but in truth he was in a lot of agony, and his gaze on the girl was both agonizing and full of affection.

It's unclear whether the girl heard what Dr. Brown was saying, but the tears in the corner of her eyes had dried up. Her expression was plainly one of serenity, not agony, as it had been previously. Dr. Brown saw that scene, he also quietly left, he didn't know that, the corner of the girl's mouth began to move a few incomprehensible words, although her eyes were still tightly closed. .
