"I cannot believe you took more time to get ready than me. And I put make-up on." I shake my head to express my surprise.

"I didn't want to get out of that shower. It felt too good. Sorry." He scratched the back of his hear laughing.

"Can we go to the Diner? Tiffany begged me to go." I ask him.

"Ugh. Do we have to?" He say with pleading eyes.

"What about... we get a milkshake real quick. Stay for 15 minutes tops. Just oblige me, Myeengun. I promise you will like it." I try to lure him.

"Fine. Let's go. I guess you need to eat something after that non-existing lunch you took." He sullenly said.

"What? I had a big breakfast."

When we arrived, I saw the tension in Cole's face. He smiled anyways.

"Hi guys. Look what this kitty cat dragged in." I say to the group.

A big group.

Britney and Hunter were eating each other faces. Tiffany and Katie were talking to each other. Molly, Cole, Tucker and Logan were in a separate table but near enough for all to enjoy each others company.

Ogi waved them and smiled.

"King, seat near me." Tiffany confidently says.

"Sit down, I'll call the waiter." I reassure him.

Molly came with me.

"Is everything okay, with you and Cole?" She asks.

"We're friends, Molly." I replied.

"I know. I'm just making sure"

"Thank you. Thank you, really." I smile looking into her eyes "I'm good. Took me all summer but I'm good without him. Besides we got you to worry about. Tucker is eating you with his eyes, yet again." I laugh.

She blush and return to her seat.

"Nanaboozhoo?" I yelled on the counter.

As a flash, King was besides me. "Don't go inside. Call the cops." He says with his eyes red. Literally red.

"What?!" I asked, afraid.

"Ziigwan, listen to me. Call the Sheriff. I'll go inside. Do you trust me?" He looks deep into my eyes. His eyes red as blood. All the black gone.

"I trust you with my life. I always had. You know. Just go in with one of the boys. Please Myeengun. You're scaring me." I plead.

"Okay. Dial. Now. Say that a woman is bleeding in the kitchen of the Diner." He says turning back "Logan, come here for a second."

After King, Logan is the biggest of the boys, well-toned, buff body. It was a good choice.

I dial and replied what he said to me to the lady that answered my call.

The rest of the group stood up and marched to the counter and stood beside me.

"What's going on?" Cole asked.

"I don't know. The waiter is not here, neither the other woman. I don't know her name. I forgot." I took a breath in "They went to the kitchen to see what is going on."

"We didn't order anything. We were waiting for you and besides no one came... " said Hunter.

"We were so wrapped in conversation that we didn't even notice..." Molly tells me putting her hand in mine.

Logan and King appear. Logan runs to the sink to vomit.

"Oh my god. Log..." Katie says rushing to his side.

"They're​ both dead." King states. "Let's wait in the front until the Sheriff arrives." He dragged Logan.

"Ogi." I was feeling light headed.

I feel him near "Ogi."

"I'm here. It was not any of us. We're all okay." He holds me, sitting me on a near by booth.

I called my mom to let her know I was coming home late. For her not to worry. That I'll be back as soon as possible and that King would be with me.

"Okay. Text me as soon as you get to the car to come here. Ok?"

"Okay, mom, I love you." I hang up.

We are all being questioned. It's not scarry, they just need us to tell what happened. Still. Ogi was being weirdly overprotective.

"Did you told them everything?" He asked.

"I told them that you and me thought it was stange that no one answered and that you called Logan to go with you to check it out. And then called the police." I smiled briefly "I know what to do."

"Good. I know you do." He pants a kiss on my forehead and walked away.

"Z, are you okay?" Molly asks visibly shaken.

"Yeah. Thank god that the boys went to check it out. If it was me I would faint with the dead bodies. Jeez." I tell her.

"We were so stupid. How did we miss the fact that no one came to take our order? We were here for five minutes before you and King arrived. You know?" She cries in my shoulder.

"That's okay. It was not your fault, sweetie. It was not our fault." I embrace her and let her cry it out.

After a while I saw them taking two huge black body bags away.

"Can we go now?" I asked the deputy.

"Yes, you can all go. I'm sorry you got to witness this." He smiled obviously sad.

"Thank you, sir." I answer.

"Ogimaa, please take me home." I plead, looking like a lost puppy.

King just hold me up, from the chair I was sitting and helped me to the car.

"Molly. Is she ok?" I asked before he closed the door.

"Yes, Namid. Hunter and Cole are taking everyone home. Don't worry. Rest." He slams the door.

Texted my mom.

Me: we're going now.

Mom : okay. Dinner almost ready.

"I cannot eat." I say out loud.

And dozed off to sleep.

"Yes. They said it was an animal attack. Two. Females. One forty years old and the other mid-twenties." He paused "I need to take care of my ogimaakwe."

"G'gizhiitaa ina?" He fumed. "Urgh."

I hear his phone crash into the back seat.

"I know you are awake. I sense you're breathing faster" he says putting the car to a stop.

I yawn. "What did you say? The last words of that call I mean..." I asked.

"You were sleepy, it was nothing." He answers.

"Right." I say.

"I'll come in with you." He tells me getting out of the car.

"Okay." I gather my stuff to get out of the car.

He opens the car door for me to exit.

"Thank you." I smile at him.

"Mom?" I call out.

I entered the living room and found my mother, Ogi's mother and his dad.

Okay. That's scary. When his dad is here...

"What's going on?" I stop in my tracks. Ogi colliding with me.

"I called them in the way here." He tells me.

"Sweetie are you okay?" My mom hugs me.

"Yeah. Ogi was there. I saw nothing. He was the hero." I rolled my eyes.

"Awegonen o'owe?" Asked Ogi.

"I came to see if Little Flower needed anything. Her father is away. I'm the closest to them. He was my best brother back in the day." Mr. Binesi said.

Ogi placed himself in front of me. Like as he was protecting me from his own father.

"Ogi, what's got into you today?" I touched his arm. He's really warm. Too hot. "Ogi, calm down."

He faced me. "Take me to your bathroom."
