Stretching, I woke up more rested than I had felt in a very long time. I looked over the edge of the bed, but Tahlia wasn’t there. My heart dropped and I nearly fell out of bed. The irrational fear that she left and she wouldn’t come back nagged me to the point that almost none of my work got done.
