last update Last Updated: 2022-07-12 15:36:04

'Huh? wait look, Phoebe look. isn't that mother? that mortal, she looks exactly just like Mother!' I said telepathically to talk to Phoebe. 'Y-You're right Princess. But how could that be possible' Phoebe said, confused as I was. 'Hmm... Let's go, Phoebe, Let's follow her.'

'B-but Princess w-wait. It's illegal in this world to just follow someone, it's a crime they call stalking.' Pheobe said, quite nervous at my suggestion. 'So? We won't go to jail if we get caught or just approach her for help.'

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'What do you think is this place, Phoebe?' I said rather flustered at the unfamiliar place in front of us. Police Station, it read upfront with some weird blue cap logo. 'I also don't know Princess, but look they have prison cells here this must be the guard's station.' Phoebe said, coming to a conclusion of what this strange place was. 'Okay then.' I said preparing myself to go inside.
"Um, Excuse me. I-I think I'm lost." I said to the man at the front desk. "Hey Dear. Are you with someone you know, you're friends maybe?" Said the lady who looked like my mother. so she must be a guard here then. I wonder who her master is...
"N-no. I'm not with anyone" I lied. Well not entirely, I am alone as Phobe is invincible to everyone else but me unless she lets herself be seen. "Oh, is that so... Hmm, then what can I help you with, dear?" The woman said, trying to be polite and professional.
"I, um, ran away from home, and I--" I said. Lying. "Kids these days, really," she whispered, though I could still hear her through faint and vague.
"So, would you like to stay here for the night?" She added. Trying to stay calm in my situation. I mean, every parent must be infuriated to see a child run away from home yet still thankful that their child didn't right?
"May I?" I said, acting unsure just to not seem too pushy about it. "Um, yeah of course." "T-thank you, Ma'am. It's just that I have yet to find accommodation, and all of my friends refused to let me stay at their houses for a few days, Ma'am." I said. Yes! I guess as long as I'm useful around here then I don't have to worry about my lodgings.
"It's fine. Just call me Clarise, Hmm?" The woman said as she smiled genuinely at me. "O-okay then, Clarise."
Suddenly there was some shouting from men that entered. "Captain, these sick drunkards kept starting fights with everyone that comes by them down there on the street." Said a guy in the same uniform as Clarise. "Ha, it's started. You just stay there okay." Walking out to see what was commotion all about.
"Okay, Clarise," I shouted just enough for her to hear. "Hey, hey, stop! I said stop! Enough!All of you!Ouch! Damn!" Clarise yelled, trying to break the fight, but she was injured by the bottle the drunk man was holding. "H-hey I said stop it will you!" She shouted once more, trying to make them stop, though still bleeding.
"What is it to you, huh?! Bitch! You stay out of this! You're just a mere sissy here! Dear, this is the big brothers' fight I'll talk with you later. How about a drink just you and me?" The drunk man said, but before he could even touch Clarise I dashed in the middle of both of them.
"Dare touch her and I'll break both of your hands into thousands of pieces," I said through gritted teeth while glaring at him. "Hahaha! Would you look at this pretty lad we have here, protecting your mom, eh?"
"Correction, she's not my mother, but it's all the same, whoever she is I'm still breaking your arm if you dare do anything to her," I said while smirking at this man's foolishness. "Haha! Okay, I'll leave miss police officer here, if you be her replacement. How 'bout that?" He said while disgustingly winking, or rather, it looks more like he has a tick in his eye.
"I don't think that would be possible how could you hold a glass with broken arms, Hmm?" I said looking at him in the eye. "Oh yeah? How do you suppose you'll be able to break my arms?" He said. Amusement was evident in his eyes.
"I don't know. Like this maybe?" I said while torturingly twisting his right arm. The same arm holding the broken glass that he used to harm Clarise. I heard the crowd around us gasp in horror. "W-what the--?! H-how did you do that?! Ow! Fuck! Let go you fucking lunatic!" He said as he ran away from me screaming his lungs out the moment I let go of him.
"Clarise are you okay?" I asked, instantly running to check on her. "H-huh? Oh yeah yeah of course. But please in the future, since I have a feeling you'll be staying here for quite some time, please don't do that. You could not only be sued for assault but also hurt from those fights, you know?" She said sounding worried about my well-being.
"But with that aside, how did you do that?" She asked after she put some medicine on her wound, thankfully it wasn't that deep, just a simple scratch. The shock written all over her face made me giggle a little bit. "Why are you laughing?" She said flustered about my reaction. "Well, it just that your face says shock all of it," I said as I giggled again. "And for your first question, well, I was just trained a lot as a kid, it was like some kind of olden family tradition of ours," I explained.
"Oh ok then, I understand. Oh right, here, you could sleep in my bed, I'm on night shift today so, you can take the bed." She said as she led me to their boarding quarters.
"Ok, um ... thank you," I said. "I promise I'll help around here as much as I can and won't be a burden to you all," I said, truly grateful for the help she offered. "Yeah sure, thanks as well, for you know earlier. Though I felt offended as a policewoman when you protected me but I know you meant good so, yeah thanks!"
"You're welcome! And if there's anything I can do to help just tell me as a way of me paying you back." I said While waving at her as she was exiting the room to attend to her duties. "Sure..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I placed my luggage down and unpacked the necessities I needed for the night. When I finished doing so, I breathed a sigh of relief. I just have to continue to keep an eye on Clarise and I also have to find a way to earn money for my stay here, as well as do my real job here. Again I breathed another deep sigh.

Oh, Phoebe I just hope we can get by in this world as commoners now, it is indeed different from how we were in the castle but I need this right now Phoebe, and I will stick to my decision...

  • The Witch of Prophecy   Epilogue

    Lilan's POVFor some, my life may already seem perfect, but in the world of messed-up royalties constantly being terrorized by death threats, falling for Xander might just be the best choice I've made in life. In a world of monochromic life, your every move is dictated, expected to make the impossible possible, the moment I met him everything changed. He made life seem colorful, interesting, and unpredictable. His smiles felt like a ray of sunshine in my clouded life. I didn't even think that I would be able to live such an amazing life, and it's all thanks to him. Every few months Clarise, Callista, and Richard would sometimes visit our world with the help of Miss Ophelia. When I placed both of my mothers beside each other the similarities were uncanny and I just laughed in disbelief looking at them. Whereas Richard and Father instantly became best of friends. And my dear little baby brother started walking about two months ago. A really energetic kid he is. I also got Callista to

  • The Witch of Prophecy   Chapter 30

    Lilan's POVFor the past few weeks, I've been having these strange dreams, they were so vivid that it felt like instead of dreams they were realities, or rather, memories. And every time I wake up from them or even think about them my head would start throbbing so badly, way worse than when I totally get wasted. and ever since then, I've been taking these pills to help with the throbbing, though it did help me momentarily, it would suddenly make these daydreams about sorcerers, werewolves, and some dark lord shit and my head would start throbbing again from it.And just now I felt a strong electric current-like feeling go through my whole right arm and suddenly a strong gust of wind came out of my hand. That didn't make any fucking sense right? But it does, and it did happen. How?! I do not fucking know! I feel like I'm going crazy with what's happening. With my head throbbing so bad, worse than before, and with all that's happening around me, it will not be long till I'll probably pa

  • The Witch of Prophecy   Chapter 29

    Third Person's POVThe instant Xander and his father, the dark lord, heard the devastating news they instantly ordered the dark lord's chariot to set out towards the battlefield. Once they arrived, they were instantly met by the piercing gazes of the kingdom leaders, all of which were Lilan's close friends. The worst of them was Lilan's best friend and former mate's glares. "You!" Ryan growled. "What the fuck are you doing here, much less with that asshole who, more or less, ordered Wind's death." He shouted. Grief and anger were much evident in his expression. He was trying hard not to just shift and kill the dark lord.The dark lord whistled in amusement at his fury. "Now, now. Ryan how about let's all calm down and be civil here? I did not come here for a fight, I come in peace. I'm just escorting my son here." The dark lord said gently, asserting Ryan's anger. "Be civil?! How can you fucking say that after you fucking started a war that killed thousands, if not millions, of sorc

  • The Witch of Prophecy   Chapter 28

    Xander's POV"Welcome back, my son!" The dark lord, my father cheered. "W-where? How? Why?" I stammered. I had so many questions I don't even know where to start. I cleared my throat before continuing. "First and foremost, I want, no, I need you to stop the war right this instant. Lilan, my girlfriend, is fighting in that war right at this moment." I said. "Wait, wait. Lilan? You don't mean Her highness princess, well now Queen Olivia Lilan Wind, right?" He said seemingly confused. "Yes, that's her," I confirmed."Damn it." I heard him cuss under his breath. "How did you get mixed up with her that you ended up becoming her lover?" He asked. "We met back on Earth. She worked intern at a police station. And things just kind of happened." I briefly explained. "Well, would you look at that? My sworn enemy's daughter might just become my daughter-in-law. How ironic." He said sarcastically looking bitter like he just tasted venom. "That bi-- that kid, she's always been an annoying know-it

  • The Witch of Prophecy   Chapter 27

    Lilan's POVThis is getting way out of hand. The battlefield is drenched in blood, bodies are found in every inch, and dying moans have become a norm. In every whip of your head you'll see dozens, if not, hundreds of bodies now a mix of warlocks, witches, wolves, and fairies. Hope has been long gone in the eyes of soldiers. This has come too far. When night falls and the light of the moon comes and shines over us, that is the time we are being pushed back and even now we can't do anything. We witches and fairies are sorcerers that take life from the sun, while warlocks and werewolves take them from the moon.Our forces are weakening. Hope has been long gone in the eyes of the soldiers. I can't let this continue on. I can't let my kingdom, my world suffer when I could obviously do something for them. I must do something.When the day came, the most I could do was pep talk them into having the will to even fight and not just run off to the field to commit suicide. Encouragement did no

    Xander's POVIt has been three days since I heard the news of Lilan setting out for the Fire Kingdom to help in the war. The soldiers patrolling the kingdom including the borders have been quite tense so much that even the villagers have become nervous. They were given the orders to be meticulous with their work, if they have been before they have to do it twice more than before. I've been so worried about Lilan ever since she left that I have been tossing and turning in my sleep. She's out there fighting for the well-being of her kingdom and the people that she cares about while I'm here not being able to do anything for the woman I love. I should be able to do something, no, I have to do something, anything for her. To end her suffering more because of the war.But because of the war, I really can't do much if I were to be caught I'll be hanged in the middle of the town for everyone to see, and have my head chopped off and displayed on the kingdom walls as a tribute to both warrior
