28. A cry for help

When Jamie and Tom finally stepped out of the hotel, Jamie’s fist went flying to the wall beside him. Tom widened his eyes in horror as a crack appeared in the cement wall, threatening to crumble down. 

“Jamie!” He screamed, “What the hell man!” 

“What do you expect me to do then, huh?” Jamie screamed back. 

Merciless rain poured on them, drenching the two men, but neither of them seemed to care. Tom looked at his friend with disquietude, desperately trying to enter his mind and read his thoughts. He knew his friend well, and he knew how much he valued his father’s word. Anything Anthony wished for was inadvertently Jamie’s command. He never went against his father, ever.
