Cataleya’s POV- I still can’t believe Dean would shut me out like that. He knows that I’m the best chance at getting information. Everyone underestimates me, especially rogues, but he usually knows how to best use all of the options he has. It better not be some overprotective bullshit because Alec and his beta were here. Cataleya’s POV continued- Pulling up to the parking lot, the place looks busy. Good news for us. We get out of the car and shed the extra clothes.“Looking good Leya!”“Feeling good Aria! Now let’s put these skills to work.”We walk into the hall and go straight to the bar. The bartender knows us. We tip well, and he knows our game. I told him upfront because we needed his help in making us real looking ‘virgin’ drinks so that we could pull off our fun more easily. Kade’s POV- When I was up to start our second game I smelled the most delicious scent in the air, which was weird in this place. Usually it just smells like alcohol, grease, and cheap cologne. This smell though, so fresh and alluring, like strawberries and vanilla. Dean’s POV- One week later It’s finally senior year. The last year I will ever have to worry about grades. I don’t mind doing the work, I just don’t like relying on other people’s opinions to tell me whether I succeed or fail. Football will help me get through this semester, but the next one will be rough for sure. I got up early this morning to do some training before heading over to campus. Since we don’t live that far from the school, it's not that bad staying at the compound. I don’t have practice today so Cataleya is riding with me so we can have our last, first day ride together. Cataleya’s POV- Starting the school year with Dean made it feel like old times. When we would go school together and laugh about the teachers and the crazy drama that revolves around every high school. I’m glad that we have this good relationship, even though I do still hate him sometimes, and I hope that one day my kids will have the same. Wait, kids? I’ve never thought about having kids before! What is going on with my head? Ok time to focus on school. Dean and I were talking about our classes when I noticed someone walking up behind him. He looks familiar, then I realize he’s walking towards us. It’s Alec, the almost Alpha wolf. If he’s here, then… oh my God is Kade here too? I look around to see if anyone else is around when he starts talking to Dean. Would I feel it if he was close, like how I felt eyes on me when we were playing pool? Is that what the mate bond does? Cataleya’s POV continued- After class had been going for a while, I took a peek over at Kade. To my surprise he was actually paying close attention to the professor and seemed to be interested in the material. Seeing him the other night I figured he would be more of the spaced out jock in class who only showed up to make sure he would meet the requirements to play sports. I’m glad that wasn’t the case. I’m not sure how I feel about the whole Moon Goddess thing, but I do feel a little more comfortable that if that is how all of this works, she didn’t pair me with some brain dead jerk. The professor takes a few minutes to get something else ready and I see Kade go straight to his phone. Kade’s POV- Yesterday was the best day of my life. I can’t help but think about it while I’m sitting here in my first football team meeting. I know I should be paying attention to what the coaches are discussing but I can’t help it. I didn’t think much about the first day of college when I woke up, just another school year basically. I rode to campus with the rest of the guys, and being the only incoming freshman they were giving me plenty of shit about being the noob all over again. I didn’t mind. Especially since I’m sure with being new to the football team as well, this will only be the beginning. The more I react to it the more they will do it so I just try to let it all slide. Kade’s POV continued- It’s a good thing that I did get that rest because a short pack meeting, then a football team meeting all before classes was a hell of a way to start my second day. After the pack meeting Alpha Zeke let us know that he heard back from the nearby packs about their missing or recently left omegas, and the number was a lot higher than any of us thought, especially since we weren’t missing any. There is definitely more to this story than we are getting. The politics droned on a bit and it’s decided that we don’t have enough information on that yet to bring it to the hunters. The football meeting is mostly to meet the guys and go over practice expectations and guidelines so we can get a running start later today. We all have to make sure our lockers are prepped and ready before practice so we don’t miss any time that we could be on the field or in the film rooms. Coach isn’t playing this year.
