In the morning, Eldawithled glanced at Aria's seat with a blatant smile. “Good morning, my lady! Are you ready for another exciting adventure today?”

Aria shook her head at her and decided to ignore her friend's teasing. She was set on her mission, making certain that she would not become distracted like previously.

“What you try to ignore will only intensify,” Eldare marked dismissively. “Allow yourself to enjoy this lovely sunny day.” He took the position of the window while rays of sunshine poured over him as if he had been waiting ages for Aria to be ready for something.

Aria frowned. Why Eldare was enjoying so much that they were turning into ‘ loco’ as she had heard rare praises directed to them and never had the courage to stare, impressed by this world.

“Absolutely. I have been waiting ever so long for you to fully grow and start understanding women this way so that she can share her delightful experiences with me and I could gafle cha taye.” As he turned from the strangle of

Araminta wept quietly in her room. She wasn’t the kind of woman who sat idly and cried, so she busied her hands by folding clothes as her tears fell. The guilt pressed heavily on her chest. Her children were suffering, and it was because of her. If only she had stood up to Khaos sooner—before he twisted their minds and scarred so many lives. If only she had fought harder to open their eyes to what they had been forced to believe.Khaos’s power over them had always been strong, and she knew how difficult it was to resist him. That was why she had been so proud when Marcus finally did. But instead of feeling relief, she should have been more cautious. The cost of defiance had been too high. One of her children was already dead, another carried the unbearable grief of losing a mate and a child—and now she feared she was losing a third. The thought shattered her. She had seen Marcus struggle both under his father’s rule and after. She had seen guilt eat away at him until he looked hollow.

Pythagoras had heard of Richard’s inventions and invited him to see their work. That was when Richard first met Professor Fox—a man who shared his fascination, though with a far more ambitious vision. Fox didn’t just want to build better weapons. He wanted to build better men.An army of humans who were faster, stronger, and able to survive wounds that would normally kill them. To achieve this, Fox studied werewolf blood and its remarkable ability to heal. What made it so different? Could human blood be altered to carry the same traits? His early experiments failed. The hunters he tested on died soon after. Desperate, Fox turned to Richard for help.Richard agreed. But he quickly discovered there was no way to simply copy werewolf blood. Certain elements it carried didn’t exist in human blood at all.Still, he refused to give up. After countless studies and failures, Richard finally tested an idea he believed might work: transplanting werewolf stem cells taken from bone marrow into hu

King Russell Hawkins once Richard walked through the dungeon, ignoring the prisoners’ cries. His steps carried him to the far end, where a separate, heavily guarded cell held only one man: Ares Steele.Once his most trusted warrior. Now a traitor in his eyes. The man who had dared help his daughter escape.Russell stopped before the cell, narrowing his gaze at the battered figure inside. Ares rose from the corner, his face bruised, his clothes stained with blood, yet his stance was unshaken.“Your Majesty,” Ares greeted in his usual stern voice.“You disappoint me, Steele,” Russell said coldly.Ares kept his head high, his eyes steady. “I did what I had to do.”“You sent my daughter and the woman you claim to love—to die.”“She won’t die,” Ares said with certainty.Russell frowned. His certainty unsettled him. He had read the books about breedmates, but even he wasn’t convinced the bond was so unbreakable.“How can you be so sure?” he asked, voice calm but probing.“You’ve read the bo

Once Marcus returned home, his brothers were waiting in the supreme hall. He had expected this moment. Saul, the eldest after him, stood at the front, with Joel, Kenan, and Aaron behind him.“Can we talk now without involving our mother?” Saul asked, his voice hard. “What do you intend to do with humans?”“I’m keeping her,” Marcus replied evenly. “She has inventions we need.”Saul tilted his head. “Then maybe I should keep her for you?”Rage stirred in Marcus, though he knew his brother was speaking from hurt. “I’ll handle it myself.”Saul stepped closer, his tone sharp. “I hope you don’t intend to make that human our queen. Because if you do, I won’t only challenge you with words.”Marcus frowned. “You would go that far?”“Yes!” Saul’s voice thundered. “If you won’t protect our people, then I will.”Marcus clenched his jaw, glancing at his other brothers. Joel and Kenan stood with Saul. Only Aaron remained uncertain, caught between them. His chest tightened. Already, his bond with hi

Marcus stared at the blood running down Aria’s hands. It cut into him even though she didn’t seem to feel the pain herself. Coming back here, seeing the broken look in his brother’s eyes, and remembering his sister’s suffering gave him the strength to fight whatever pull this woman had over him.He hadn’t wanted to believe it. He didn’t want to think she would use this weakness against him, twist it into a weapon. Because if she did—if this was true—then what was left of him? What else could he do but rip himself away from the bond that tied him to her? To live like a man half-dead, not crippled in body but broken in mind. But now, she had made him believe. When he saw her standing on that rooftop, even though he was freed from death, something inside him still died. He was doomed to the same fate as his sister. And knowing it now, knowing the agony she must have carried, made the weight of it crush him even harder. How could he have forgotten that while chained? How could he have eve

There was a heavy silence after Marcus admitted she was his breedmate. His brothers, especially Saul the one who had ordered her capture, looked between her and Marcus with anger and disbelief.“Tell me this is a joke.” Saul’s voice was sharp.“It’s not,” Marcus replied firmly. She let her hair fall over her shoulders, but Saul only laughed, though Marcus stayed serious, his eyes locked on her.“Is that so?” Saul muttered as he stalked toward her. Without warning, he grabbed her arm and yanked her closer. His hand shot up to her jaw, gripping it harshly and forcing her to look up at him.Marcus’s brow furrowed.“Saul! What are you doing?” their mother cried, distressed.Marcus lifted his hand slightly, signaling her not to step in.Saul’s grip tightened until pain shot through her jaw. “How do you know she didn’t poison you, trick you into thinking she’s your breedmate?”“Nothing was done to me,” Marcus said evenly, though it was a lie. “She is my breedmate.”“Bloody hell,” Saul hisse
