Luther Jesse led me to his room to grab a shower. I was grateful Alpha encouraged me to get cleaned up before I saw Lexi. I didn’t want her to see me covered in blood. I showered quickly not wanting to be away from Lexi too long. I don’t know this pack and I don’t know if I can trust them. Especially after finding out Lexi has another mate here and he tried to reject her. I need to look into what the Alpha said about Lexi having two mates. I have to agree with the other guy. I have never heard of that happening. I need to talk to my Elders. They have to know something. When I get back to my pack I will talk to my dad and Elders. I was hoping to wait a little bit so Lexi could get used to me. Date her and woo her like the humans do. I’m sure she doesn’t know about mates or Were's so I knew I had to be careful and not scare her away. But after what I saw today I don’t think much would scare Lexi. I smile thinking about her. Diesel growls out at me “ Hurry up. Go see mate. Mate hurt.”
Lexi I was sitting on my back porch again. Argos had his head in my lap and I was scratching between his ears. He seems to like that. For a wild animal he is surprisingly gentle. At least with me. I don’t think a rabbit would be so lucky. I was telling him about my date with Luther and my first kiss. Crap I’m sure his wolfy mind didn’t care about. Then Luther showed up and asked if I wanted to go to dinner. “ Luther, I want you to meet someone. Now don’t freak out. He won’t hurt you. I promise.” I said to him. Luther looked skeptical but followed me. I introduced him to Argos. I thought for sure Luther would think I was weird. Or weirder than I already am. Or Luther would tell me I’m nuts for being friends with a wild animal but he just went with it. I showed Luther how sweet Argos is. And Argos stayed by my side the whole time. I was about to say goodnight to Argos and go with Luther when some other wolves showed up out of nowhere. I have never seen anything like it. I though
AidenI can’t believe dad made me leave the room. I just wanted to talk to Lexi for a minute. But as soon as she saw me she was pissed. Not that I can blame her. I was down right mean to her. She had no idea what I was doing. I could have gone about it a different way I guess. I didn’t have to insult her. And when Lexi started glowing again I felt her pain again. I needed to get her to stop before I collapsed again. But when I tried to get close my own Beta growled at me. Him and my Gamma’s were protecting Lexi over me. Can you believe that? It is like she has some odd control over them.Thankfully when my dad asked Lexi to stop she did. I know now there is no way Lexi is just human. After listening to Patsy the Elders took off and now say they have some answers. They were waiting for Lexi to wake up before they called a meeting. So I’m hoping it will be soon. And seeing that Luther guy have his hands on Lexi pissed me off even though I had no right to. Strange is Razor didn’t even gr
Lexi Dr. Thorp said I was well enough to leave the hospital and go to the packhouse so I could eat with everyone else. They happen to be on the same grounds, walking distance from each other. The packhouse, that’s a laugh. The place is huge. More like a mansion on steroids. They told me they would give me a tour after we talked more. I was led to a large dining room, Well, more like a school cafeteria. There were six person tables three long and four wide. There was a buffet set up along the far wall. There was burger, fries, mac and cheese, potato salad, pulled pork, Cole slaw, baked beans and so many veggies I didn’t even bother counting. Jesse stayed by my side and led me through the line with the others. Mr. and Mrs. Cline insisted Luther, Patsy and I sit with them. I could hear whispers all around me. The others wanted to know who I was. Who Luther was. Why were we sitting at the Alpha table? What made us so special? Blah, blah. I tried to tune it out and focus on my food. The
Luther We are sitting around the conference table. It is just a large table that could fit twenty. With the six Elders, Patsy, Jackson, Melissa, Jesse, Aiden, the Alpha, Luna, myself and Lexi we almost had it filled. Lexi and I didn’t say anything. I was going to let them do the talking. They said they had information we needed to know and I wanted it. I can help Lexi through her first shift but the glowing and anything else she might need I can’t. And if I can bring this information back to my Elders so they can help protect Lexi, my Luna. Even better. Elder Standish stood and said, “ Lexi, since you have known me longer we thought you might be more comfortable with me.” Lexi just nods. She has my hand in a death grip like she is preparing for the worst. “ Lexi, I have to ask one question before we get started. Do you have a birthmark?” What an odd question. And why is it important? Lexi just nods, stands and turns around. I watch her pull her shirt to the side revealing a perfect
AidenI watched Lexi pace back and forth asking questions. Her glow would fade and get brighter. The color would change shades going darker then lighter. I could feel her emotions all over the place. And so could Razor. I could feel him trying to press forward. He wanted to comfort Lexi. It was nice to hear his voice again. I had to tell him now was not the right time. Lexi is overloaded right now and I don’t think touching her is a good idea. Hell, I’m overloaded and this isn’t about me. Well, not all of it. “ So you are saying that my birth caused a pack to be destroyed. So I’m responsible for lives lost. Including my parents.” Lexi said. Whoa, what? That is what Lexi got from that. “ No, Lexi. You are not responsible for what happened. Your birth was a happy occasion. And your parents died doing what good parents do. They died protecting what they loved the most. You. They knew you were destined for great things. And I know they would be so proud of you. What happened to the pack
Lexi I was overloaded. I thought my brain was going to melt and start coming out of my ears. I couldn’t take anymore. I didn’t know what to make of what the Elders said. I didn’t know all of them but I knew Standish and I trusted him. And none of them looking like this was some big joke. Everyone of them looked serious. Like life or death serious. But it was becoming too much. I had to get out of there. I had to get back home. To something familiar. I needed to shut my brain off. Then there was the run in with Razor. He was so sweet. And adorable. I just wanted to hold him after he told me he didn’t want to reject me and all the things he was going through to try and change Aiden’s mind. He may have thought he was hurting Aiden but he was also hurting himself. I couldn’t let Razor continue to do that. So I talked to him and told him to try to get along with Aiden. Not just for himself but for Aiden as well. I may not like Aiden right now but I feel like they need each other. I’m
Luther While Lexi was in the shower I made a long over due to my family. When they pick up I say “ Hey dad,” I said. “ Luther, where have you been? You have had us worried. We even tried linking you but all you said was you were doing something and would get back to us. That was hours ago.” dad said. “ I know dad. I’m sorry. It took longer than I thought. And it is too much to explain over link. Is mom around? I want to tell you at the same time.” I explained. He asked me to hold on while he got her.“ Sweetheart, are you alright?” mom asked. “ I’m fine, mom. Better than fine.” I said. I told them everything. From finding my glowing mate. To the wolves jumping us and everything the Elders said. “ I won’t say I’m not worried about you being attacked but I’m happy you are ok.” mom said. I explained it wasn’t me the wolves were after but Lexi. I told them about the prophecy and how the Elders think Lexi is that girl. “ Wait back up. Are you telling me your mate is the Goddess Prophecy
