"But at the end of the day," my mind's tone drops low and teasing, "you will never stop wanting him. It's just the way of his world."

I halt mid step, my crocs crunching against the gravel path that curls behind the dormitory.

"His world?" I whisper, glaring at nothing and everything all at once. "What do you even mean by that? What world?"

I resume my steps, embracing the chilly silence of the night, while trying not to look the slightest bit crazy just incase anyone awake is watching me from their window.

I do it sometimes, so it's only normal to assume someone also enjoys watching people stroll at night.

There's a laugh in my head, low and teasing, but not in a mocking way. "The world you already belong to."

I halt in my steps again. "Already belong to? Like I was initiated?"

"Something like that."

"Like a cult??"

There's a low chuckle. "Why do you always think about the negatives? What do you mean cult?"
