Blaire's POV

The cool evening air brushed against my face, blowing my hair to the side as I walked down the courtyard with Elle. After we had dropped the cleaning tools back where we took them, Elle told me that it was time for dinner and that there was a space for that in the outer building.

I was glad at the fact that I finally got to eat due to how much I hadn't really eaten anything other than bread and water.

"So they made pasta for dinner today," Elle said in a sing-song tone. "I got the

Blaire's POV"What have you done?" Elle mumbled, looking around the dark cell before turning back to me with wide eyes.I panted, placing a hand on my chest as I struggled to push myself up from the cold floor. I reached out to her for support, but she quickly shifted away from me as if I would hurt her."What are you?" she asked, looking at me suspiciously. "That wasn't any ordinary wolf." She paused as if she had suddenly remembered something. Her eyes widened, and she gasped, placing a hand over her chest. "Kena? You're Kena?"Her voice trembled as she muttered the last word in horror. I stared at her, confused. I remembered Aiden mentioning something about my wolf being the most powerful wolf ever, but that was the least of my problems right now.I only had a few minutes to figure out what to do because if Ares came back and saw what had happened to the iron bars, he wouldn't think twice about executing me. And the painful part was that he would do the same thing to Elle."Please,

  • The Wolfless Omega Rules   Chapter 29

Blaire's POVThe next few days go by and I keep looking right at the door, thinking that Ares will come to check on me or maybe have mercy on me. But the more I keep holding onto that, the more it shatters right in front of me.I sit on the floor after pacing for a while to keep blood flowing through my legs instead of sitting in one spot. My body is weak, and the pain in my stomach has reduced compared to the first time it started.I look toward Elle's direction. She sits in her corner, her legs pulled up to her chest as she stares into nothing. My heart aches even more seeing her that way, and if I had the power to change things, I would get us out of here.'Then what are you waiting for?' my wolf growls inside of me. 'You can't stay here for long. When you are ready to get out of here, then I will help you.'My jaw clenches at her words, and I feel my blood boil. There is no way I am listening to my wolf and getting myself into a much bigger mess. Not only that, dragging innocent p

  • The Wolfless Omega Rules   Chapter 28

Blaire's POV"Blaire, are you okay?" Elle asked in a soft voice as she rushed over to meet me. The fact that she still cared enough to check on what was happening made a little relief rise up my sleeves.I coughed a little, wiping my mouth with the back of my hand as I panted once more, but the heavy nausea kicked in all over again. "I don't know, Elle. I just don't feel good at all.""You need to have some water," she said as she rushed over to grab the bag Aiden had brought for us. She pulled out the water bottle with shaking hands and rushed right back over to give it to me.I drank in haste, swallowing the cool liquid as fast as I could, and rested my back against the wall, panting a little. My wolf, which had been silent for so long, stirred gently within me. "I'm fine now. Thank you, Elle."She nodded softly, her eyes looking down at the ground between us. "What is it? Is it the food? Is it poisoned?"I lowered my gaze and shook my head back and forth. "I haven't even eaten it y

  • The Wolfless Omega Rules   Chapter 27

Blaire's POVThe ache in my chest only got worse as I stared toward Elle's direction, watching as she sniffled and wiped her tears with the back of her hand.My fingers reached up to my neck, rubbing softly against the mating mark there, and I suddenly wanted it completely gone from my skin. The whole thought of Ares made me feel much more angry, especially at the fact that he didn't even listen to me when I told him that it was all me and Elle had nothing to do with it.The sound of the water dripping from the roof made everything feel more tormenting, as I let out a raspy breath, my gaze never leaving Elle's direction.I had thought that there was nothing to me and that I was just a weak little wolf pup for years, but sitting down in this dark dungeon, I suddenly wished my wolf had never awakened at all and that it was still that weak little pup.Maybe then Freda wouldn't have died, and I wouldn't have dragged Elle into my massive mess. I opened my mouth to say something to her, but

Blaire's POVElle stared at me as if she wanted to be sure of what I had said, but she just let out a soft sigh and shoved her hand through her hair. "Please don't get yourself in trouble."I gave her an assuring nod with a small smile, and we walked out of the building toward the housekeepers' quarters. We were about to step inside when the door swung open and Cora grabbed Elle’s hand in haste."What happened?" Elle asked, looking completely confused as she glanced toward my direction."The Alpha found out who served him the drink in the goblet," Cora replied, shooting me a freezing, cold stare. My heart nearly leaped out of my chest when I heard what Cora said. I started to panic because if it was true, then that housekeeper would definitely tell Ares that I was the one who gave her the tray in the first place."Cora, we have to do something," Elle said in a worried tone, staring at me with deep sympathy.Cora looked at me before she looked around. "Do what?" She asked, and she didn

  • The Wolfless Omega Rules   Chapter 25

Blaire's POVSilence filled the hall as Ares stared down the line of housekeepers, waiting for someone to crack. My gaze slowly drifted toward Elle. She was completely still, her shoulders tense. Even Cora, standing a few steps away, was staring at her with wide eyes.My heart sank. I had never felt so terrible in my entire life. All Elle had tried to do was help me, and now I had dragged her right into danger."So nobody is ready to talk?" Ares asked, his voice cutting through the silence with a cold scoff. He tossed the small pouch bag to Aiden without taking his eyes off the crowd. "Fine. Then I'll investigate it myself. Whoever served me that drink is going to be in serious trouble if they don't speak up right now."Still, nobody moved. Nobody even dared to breathe. Even Mrs. Karl stood frozen a few feet away. Ares’s sharp gaze landed on me for a brief second, holding my eyes with a chilling lack of emotion, before he turned and strode out of the hall.Aiden and the other Betas fo
