MasukAurora's POVLiam's face mirrored mine. Our eyes growing wide from the clear demand. His eyes locked on mine. He swallowed hard before nodding and dropping his arm with a sigh. I approached the spec with caution and now fear. My soul broke when my brain registered what I was staring at. I dropped to my knees as a sob tore through my chest. Liam wrapped his arms around my shoulders, offering me his silent support. I reached my hand out and placed it on the gashed, stiff side of the fawn. My breath was stolen from me, images of Trent chasing and killing the baby, before I collapsed. 'Aurora, wake up. We need to talk', the voice was sweet, smooth, feminine. 'Awake, my child.'My eyes shot open. Liam sat above me, an expression of concern on his face as he held me closely. But something didn't feel right. As I sat up, Liam didn't move, causing me to subsequently pass through him. I bolted to my feet, panic rising in my throat. 'Am I dead?', I asked, touching my body. A serene chuckle me
Aurora's POVHis hand on my lower back was gentle, though taut. I stayed silent as we walked to his room. "Get changed and we will go train", he instructed, pointing to the workout clothes on his bed when we walked in his room. I sat my bag on the floor and turned to face him.He cocked his head to the side as he evaulated me. "Are you angry with me?", I asked. His features softened as he cupped my cheeks. "Not at all, little one", he whispered. "Then, what's wrong?", I questioned. He sighed, as he stroked my cheek with his thumb. "I'm angry that your father hasn't been taking care of you like he's supposed to. Wolf or not", he answered through gritted teeth. The pain in my chest eased knowing he wasn't angry with me. "I apologize for that spilling over on you. I was not trying to take it out on you", his words were gentle and sincere. "Please forgive me", he muttered. I nodded my head with a light smile. "I do". He kissed my forehead, his lips lingering on my skin. "Please get read
Liam's POVAurora took a second to collect herself before turning her face toward mine. "It's not the act that makes me nervous. Talking about it makes me... uncomfortable", she muttered. I smirked, as I looked over her sweet innocent face. "You can put my dick in your mouth, but you can't say that you were riding it?", I chuckled. Her eyes grew wide, as her cheeks flushed red. She gasped, attempting to free herself from my hold, only succeeding in turning to face me. I laughed in amusement, as I backed her against the bookshelf. "You are mine. You know that right?", I asked, running my thumb along her jaw. Her lips parted and ehr breathing shifted. "Yes", it was but a whisper on her tongue. "Say it, princess", my voice was low and guttural. "I'm yours", she uttered softly. Zeus purred in my mind, full of happiness that she recognizes us as her mate. I captured her lips in a gentle kiss. I was savoring her taste like ine wine. Her lips were as soft as egyptian cotton. I rested my f
Liam's POV"Are you studying?", I asked, setting the books down and startling her by accident. "Uh", she froze momentarily. "No, I wasn't", she answered honestly. "Good girl. Thank you for being honest. What's occupying your thoughts instead?", I asked, combing her hair out of her face. "My anxiety is peaked, right now. I've never stood against my pack before. So, I guess I'm pondering the unknown at the moment. A bit worried I won't be able to defend myself if Trent attempts to solidify this bond", she sighed, rubbing her chest in discomfort. "We are going to fix this, little one", I whispered, stroking the back of her neck. "I'm right here, now. You're safe, princess. Study", I commanded tenderly. She nodded, looking down at the book in front of her. I hate that she feels this way. I wish I could take the feeling away quicker. But, I remember reading something about this before. There was a process to reverse it. A process that I spent hours searching for. I answered any questio
Aurora's POVLiam pulled me around to his chest, grabbing me tightly by the waist. "Promise me that you'll never do that again. I can't lose you. You understand that right? You can't leave me, Aurora. I wouldn't survive", he pleaded, his voice began to break. I could see the pain in his eyes. "I thought I was going to lose you when I saw you running towards that cliff. And when you jumped? My world stopped", he whispered, biting back tears. My heart ached at the sight of his anguish. I twisted my fingers in his hair and stood on my tip-toes. I pulled his head the rest of the way to me, sealing his lips with mine. "I'm right here. I promise, I won't do anything like that again", I assured him, my lips brushing against his. He sighed with relief as he kissed me hard. He's pouring the emotions he couldn't process earlier, into it. **Liam's POV"The first test will be a tournament. It usually consists of archery, knife throwing, things like that", I explained, as I sat a text book dow
Aurora's POVTwenty minutes into training, I've realized that four years of no training has taken it's toll on my body. My ribs burned, my muscles screamed, and I was out of breath. The worst part? I'm only swinging a blade at a tree. This isn't like pack training. We train independently. I suppose it's too give you an opportunity to evaluate your opponents. I'm not a fan of it though. I keep pulling a blank on how to train. I stopped paying attention to the details of the Worthy Wars years ago. I was never supposed to be a participant. I yelled in frustration as I swung the blade and burried it into the bark. "Talk to me, princess", Liam's voice washed over me, before his presense did. "What do you want to hear?", I asked in a monotone, as I tried to free my blade. "What ails you, little one", he said, observing me at a short distance. I laughed dryly. "What ails me? Huh", I huffed. "Could be my screaming muscles. It could be my disbelief that I have to participate in a fucking wa
