LOGINSophie
I didn’t even know if Alexander would be in. I’d come up with a feeble excuse—wanting to know the kind of merger he was proposing.
The truth was that I wanted to see him again. Warning sirens sounded in my head. I shouldn’t be here but I’ve never been this confused in my entire life.
With my stomach knotted and my heart all but in my throat, I approached the first man I saw guarding the door. He noticed me coming and offered me a polite smile. “Can I help you?”
“Yes. I hope so. I’m here to see Alexander Weillman.”
Any normal person would have his phone number so they could just call him to say they were here to see him but I didn’t have his number. He sent me that text with a private number and now I’m here— with a pounding beat not just in my chest but between my thighs too.
“I’ll call up and see if he’s free. Can I ask who’s calling on him?”
“Just say it’s Soph,” I told him, suddenly self-conscious about giving him my full name.“Just Soph?”
“Just Soph,” I confirmed.
He replied with a curt nod and then walked away to make the call. I stood, feeling even more awkward than ever. A part of me was tempted to make a run for it, but my feet were rooted to the floor.
“He’s ready to see you,” he announced and a knot twisted in my stomach.
Once the doors had opened, he used a special key on his belt to send it to the private top floor.
He gave me a final nod and stepped back once more. The door shut, trapping me inside, and it rose up. I sucked in a breath and squeezed my hands into fists at my sides.
Is this not a suicide mission?
The door beeped, signaling that I was already in my destination.
I swallowed hard.
I froze as the door slid open, revealing Alexander standing on the other side.
His dark hair was damp, as though he’d recently gotten out of the shower. He was wearing only a sweatpant; revealing his broad chest and the tattoos on his arms.
I quickly stepped out before the door shut again, trapping me inside.
The movement brought me close to Alex so there was only a foot between us. I thought he might have stepped back to increase the space, but he didn’t even budge.
He didn’t smile either or seem in any way pleased to see me.
Didn’t he send that text?
“I knew you’d come.” The corner of his lips curled in a devilish smile.
“I’m only here to talk about the merger.”
“Oh, that’s a lie and you know it.”
My breath hitched when he reached out to tuck a stray piece of hair behind my ear.
“If it was the merger, you wouldn’t agree to meet me outside the office and you wouldn’t come here with such a transparent top and no bra.”
My nipples hardened at the confirmation of being seen.
“I was already home when you texted. I don’t even know how you got my number… but me coming here is because I have something important to discuss.”
His fingers trailed from my hair, tracing my jaw, and then running down my throat.
“There are a lot of things you can say when I’m inside you.”
“Stop it.”
He moved farther downwards, leaving a rash of goosebumps on my skin.
His hand reached my shoulder and slipped it under the strap of my dress, gently… in no rush.
He was right… I didn’t wear a bra but it had absolutely nothing to do with him.
He slipped both the straps of my dress and the bra down my shoulder and then lowered his head and placed his lips against the spot where they’d been.
“Say it again… ask me to stop.”
Arousal coiled tighter in my pussy, and I squeezed my thighs together. I wanted more, hungry for it, but the tiny, sensible part of my brain knew I was digging a grave that wasn’t his.
This is Alexander.
A man I have a secret with… that I fucked few hours after my fiancé didn’t show up.
He continued to suckle on me. His mouth felt incredible on my nipples. I had no idea they could be so sensitive and it was as though they had a direct line to my cunt.
I held back the moan, despite the explosive sensation I was feeling.
“There you are… soaked and needy.”
Whatever he wanted, he was getting it. I felt his thigh press between the apex of my thighs, but this time he didn’t force them apart, he waited, an expectant gleam in his eyes, until I opened them for him.
His lips feathered against my cheek, moving as he spoke into my ear. “Good girl. Now say the words.”
He applied pressure to my clit over the top of my underwear, and my hips bucked into his hand.If I didn’t stop this now, I was going to lose my moment.
I opened my mouth to speak, but a feral moan escaped my mouth instead.
My body knew what I wanted him to do, but my mind was running blind, fighting the desire at every turn.
He pushed my panties to the side and just before his fingers could slide in, I shoved at his shoulders. “No, wait, stop.”
He stopped.
I swallowed hard; I hadn’t expected him to stop like that. He removed his hand from my panties. “What’s the matter?”
I shook my head. “I’m sorry, Alex. I should go.”
I wasn’t prepared for his next reaction; a chuckle like I had just made a joke.
He looked at me. “You don’t get it, do you?”
His bulge was already rock hard, his dickprint glaring at me. “You can’t leave, Sophie. I’m your only way out.”
He gestured to the right and my eyes followed until it landed on the familiar dress.
My wedding gown.
“You have to marry me.”
Alexander When I wake up, I’m the only one in the bed. I stretched one hand out, feeling the cool fabric where Sophie should be. There’s no way on earth she’d be at work this early. I turned but groaned at the sensation from my sore knuckles. Both the main and the memories of how I ended up with injuries came back. After leaving Celine’s, I went to punch that bag. A glance at the clock on the bedside table tells me it’s just past three a.m.I said it— it’s still very much early. Sophie probably went downstairs, or to the kitchen, or maybe the bathroom. I flipped onto my back, trying to fall back asleep but I just couldn’t. Eventually, I gave up, climbed out of bed and pulled on a pair of athletic shorts. I took the hallway down and there she was.The lights are on in the kitchen and the door leading out to the patio and pool is ajar. As soon as I stepped outside, I saw her sprawled out on one of the chairs, holding a wineglass in one hand and paging through a paperback with the
Alexander I stepped outside with Malik, the door swinging shut behind us and sealing off the noise, the music, the careless laughter we’d left inside. The night wrapped around us, cool and sharp, and for a moment I wished I’d stayed indoors where things were still simple, when questions hadn’t yet learned how to breathe. Malik leaned against the railing, completely at ease, like he wasn’t about to dismiss my sense of reality with a few sentences.“My intel confirmed it,” he said, smoke curling from his mouth. “The kid’s been with Celine since the day she was born. There are even hospital photos. Celine on the bed. Newborn in her arms.”I shook my head immediately. “Pictures can be staged. You know that. People fake things all the time.”He said it flatly, confidently, like a man reciting facts that no longer surprised him. My stomach tightened as he went on, explaining that they were photographs too. Celine on a hospital bed. White sheets. Harsh lights. Her face exhausted in a way
Sophie Finish up, we need to talk. My heart hammered as I dried my body. After such a powerful torrent, I don't think I'd have it in me to argue with Alex.He hasn't said anything regarding the child and I'm hoping he doesn't. I don't want him asking who the child’s father is because I honestly cannot answer that.Once I finished applying the lotion on my body, I grabbed a shirt and wore it. I grabbed my laptop too because I have some work that I still need to finish up. I let out a deep sigh. My body kind of aches from all that spreading but it’s cool. I really don’t mind the pleasurable pain. Just as I stepped out of the room, the permeating and delicious scent of smoky salmon, lemon, and herbs hit me.Alex is right there at the counter, setting plates of food next to two glasses of water, each garnished with a lime wedge.“How was your bath?” he asked with a grin.“Quick,” I mumbled. I wasn't disturbed. “I hope you’re hungry.”“What do you think you're doing?” I waved at the d
SophieIs Alexander avoiding me?I had expected to see him at the office but he was nowhere to be found. I’m exhausted when I get back to Alexander’s apartment. It was a long day at the office, and I hadn’t eaten since Beatrice shared her chicken club sandwich with me earlier this afternoon.Crazy thing is I'm not hungry. I'm thinking… about what Celine said. I know that girl looks like me… same eyes, same face but that's not enough is it? I need to brush and get ready for bed. I took my time brushing my teeth in the en suite bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. I ran my finger across my neck, reminiscing his hands around my neck. My nipples tightened as I stripped off my T-shirt and underwear to get into the shower. My skin reddened with the thoughts. No man but Alexander could irk me so much and turn me on at the same time. He pushed me so close to the brink of my emotions.I turned on the water and let the water droplets run over my head until they were so hot, they ne
SophieI woke up slowly, very reluctant to open my eyes. Everything felt at ease here and that was all I needed. Then I remembered where I was.I was on the same bed with Eve.That realization came first, before anything else. Before work. Before Alexander. Before the name Weillman sitting on my shoulders like a borrowed coat.I turned my head slightly and looked at her.She was still asleep, sprawled beside me like she owned the bed. One leg was thrown over the blanket, one arm tucked under her cheek, her lips parted just a little as she breathed, and for a moment, everything else disappeared.I just stared at her.I didn’t know how long I would stay that way. Long enough for my chest to ache. Long enough for the truth I carried to press against my ribs.If only you knew, I thought. If only I could tell you that I wasn’t just your auntie. If only I could tell you that you came from me.That I carried you. That I cried for you. That I chose silence because I thought it would protect y
SophieDamn it. I took one deep breath and tucked my hair behind my ear. The moment I walked back in, Celine turned fully toward me, eyes sharp, drink forgotten in her hand. The music was still playing, people were laughing, kids were running around with balloons, but it felt like everything else faded into the background the second her gaze locked onto mine.“What was that about?” she asked. “Is everything okay?”I blinked, buying myself a second. “What was what?”She gave a dry laugh. “Don’t insult me. I know what I saw.”“I’m not,” I said lightly. “I just don’t know what you mean.”“You went outside to get Eve’s gift,” she said slowly, like she was explaining something to a child. “You came back looking like you’d seen a ghost.”“I was just surprised,” I said. “That’s all.”“Surprised enough to forget how to breathe?” she asked.I shrugged. “It was cold outside.”She narrowed her eyes. “Sophie.”I sighed. “Celine.”She leaned closer. “I heard a car.”My stomach tightened. “Okay?”
