Hayden's POV.

It has been a few days since I talked to her last. I thought I was ready to let her go, but I thought wrong. I pined for her for years, and it wasn't easy to just give up on her. I think about her every day.

I was sitting at the breakfast table with my family when my dad hit me with the news. The news I had been dreading since last year.

"We are going on a family camping trip, and before you say something smartass, yes, it is required that you go since you are part of our family," dad said.

"Yeah, whatever," I said. I didn't feel like I was part of the family some days. I felt like an outsider and they merely tolerated my existence.

"Millie will also be joining us since she is practically family," mom said.
