Chapter 5.

Keeping silent at his mother's words, feeling very strange for what she had just told him, Alexis replied: "But mother, I don't understand, he is an omega from a very good family, from the family my sister's fiancé belongs to, how could someone like that be such a bad person?"

Looking sideways at Alexis accusingly, Inna replied: "Even in good families, there are problems with rebellious children..."

Feeling alluded to, Alexis lowered his gaze in shame. He didn't dare to criticize anyone for being rebellious with his parents or for having broken the laws since in his youth Alexis was a rebellious young man, who made his parents suffer a lot with his bad attitudes and bad decisions, so Alexis was the living proof that in the best families there can be bad people.

"In an alpha, a son being rebellious is not a cause of a big problem, after all, it is attractive to see strong and determined alphas, who do not submit for the laws or their parents, it means strength from an early age" Inna explained: "But when it comes to an omega, things are different. You know that in our society, everyone expects omegas to be beautiful and meek creatures, to respect their husbands and their parents, to be pure and virtuous. And unfortunately, Luka Kuznetsov is nothing like that."

Still having the image of that young 17-year-old omega whom he had met some time ago, Alexis replied: "I have to differ, mother, I don't see savagery or a problem in Luka, and he looks like any other omega I've ever met."

"Looks can be deceiving, my son. Luka Kuznetsov is a rebellious omega, he doesn't listen to his parents or their requests, he refuses to be a meek omega to attract a good husband, and most importantly: he lost his virginity to an unknown alpha a long time ago."

Remaining silent immediately, Alexis began to understand his mother's words better, feeling alluded, since that unknown alpha was in that same room, and it was Alexis.

"Everyone is commenting on how that omega doesn't abide by the rules, how he sure is a dirty omega for having lost his virginity to an alpha before getting married, must have been more than one alpha even for him not to want to confess who he is..."

"Mom, you're jumping to conclusions too fast," Alexis said, coming back to Luka's defense.

"That's what everyone thinks, that's what everyone is commenting on, that's why Luka didn't have a fiancé too fast, no alpha wants to be with an easy omega who has been tainted as many times as he has been. The Kuznetsov family is lucky to have gotten an alpha for their son in time, surely no one would have wanted to marry him if they hadn't had money, I just hope their next husband is tough enough to handle such a difficult omega, as Luka may raise his voice now that he is still living with his parents, but I don't think he would dare raise his voice to his alpha. That omega deserves a good slap in the face to stop being a slut..." Continued Inna insulting, looking at Luka in the distance.

Keeping silent, Alexis couldn't help but feel guilty, was Luka really that bad? Alexis knew that boy, or at least what he once was when they were both young, and Luka was absolutely the opposite of what her mother told him, a sweet and respectful omega, who followed all the rules and wouldn't even look other alphas in the eye. What had happened to that innocence Alexis had fallen in love with?

Sighing softly, calming down after having said so many bad things about Luka, Inna finally said: "That's why I ask you to stay away from such a filthy omega, he's not a good company for an alpha of your kind, what will people say if they see you around? They will surely think you are having sex with him, like other alphas he must attract with his filth."

"I understand mother, I will be careful."

"No one can see you near an omega of that kind, you will humiliate our family and your fiancée if you do, please promise me you won't go near him..."

"I promise" Said Alexis tired of the situation, "But... But what if the alpha who took Luka's virginity is found?"

"That would be a big scandal, Luka is not a street omega although he looks like one, he is from a good family that has a good reputation. If someone finds the alpha who had sex with him the first time, everyone will condemn him for being a coward, since an omega like that one can't just take him and leave him, his duty was to marry the omega if he did something despicable to him. Whoever the ungrateful alpha is that took Luka, he should hide and not show his face around him ever, or his family will demand that he marry their son and his reputation will be ruined forever, no one likes alphas that do that to an omega and then abandon him."

Alexis then felt again a cold sweat run down his back, his reputation and his whole life were at stake just to stay in his own house near that omega, but how could he avoid it? With his sister about to marry Luka's brother, with both families being linked forever, there was no chance Alexis could escape that shameful situation clean.

And just fearfully thinking about his reputation as the leader of her pack, afraid of seeing everything ruined by a simple mistake in his youth, Alexis looked again at Luka in the distance, who turned for a moment to see Alexis too, smiling mockingly...

If Luka said a single word about what had happened between the two of them, Alexis' life would be over forever.

Entering the room from the kitchen, the maids again passed amid all the guests present, handing out glasses of wine and sweet cookies, inviting everyone to gather in the center to toast. Taking his glass of wine, Alexis followed everyone else, standing in the center of the room next to his mother and Maddie, looking up to find Luka. However the omega was nowhere to be found, leaving his fiancé behind, Luka seemed to have retired before the toast. Something that surprised Alexis very much, as it was quite rude to do that, and it showed that Luka had indeed become as rebellious as his mother had told him.

Clearing his throat, Alexey raised his glass and prepared to toast: "To a prosperous marriage between Sacha and Naiya, may their union bring much wealth and bring our families together, may it bring them happiness and love, Cheers!"

Raising their glasses in a gentle motion, all present repeated: "Cheers!"

And taking his glass firmly, not looking excited at all, Alexis drank the contents of his glass in one gulp, ending his dinner duties for that evening. Without waiting any longer, Alexis said goodbye to everyone present, citing his somewhat poor health for the day, paying his respects to his sister and her fiancé for their wedding, and kissing Maddie goodbye before leaving.

Feeling free at last, practically running out of the hall and in the direction of her room in the mansion, Alexis just wanted to be at peace to think clearly, to try to decide what to do. However, when he reached the hallway on the second floor of the mansion, heading towards his room to rest, he was surprised to see a light filtering through one of the closed doors in the distance.

He didn't even have to ask himself who the person was in that room, with a strong scent of flowers wafting down the hallway, Alexis knew immediately who the person was. And although he was able to enter his room and avoid that encounter, unable to get away from that omega, Alexis walked straight down the hallway to the only room with the light on that was on that floor, a room that also belonged to him.

Carefully opening the door, Alexis quietly entered the room, which was a private study that he hardly ever used, filled with books and a desk in the center. And as if he were a ghostly figure, as he always looked in front of his eyes, Alexis observed Luka, sitting on the desk, looking out the window silently.

"You know the best thing about your house? It's the views... You can see the mountains and the whole city from here, it's beautiful" Luka said calmly, still looking out the window: "You weren't kidding when you said I would love living here when you made me your husband."

Lowering his gaze guiltily, Alexis wondered what he should say to the omega, if he should answer him something or tell him something right then and there. But the words seemed choked in his throat, unable to utter a word, even though he really wanted to answer the omega words.

"Then why did you come looking for me? Do you really plan to make me your husband now?" Luka asked amused, turning to look at Alexis: "Or do you just want to kiss me and take my body one more time?"
