Chapter 4

"We need to do something about her, she is back and am afraid for our children's safety," Alicia said sobbingly. " If she knew I was only close to her for one reason in particular I am afraid of what she will do." 

Brighton tried to comfort Alicia who was breaking down." I promised to protect you and our children, nothing is going to happen to us." 

"We need to inform Tom about her arrival," Brighton said to Alicia. Tom was Tamara's uncle who orchestrated the accident which caused the death of Tamara's parents and took over their company as the CEO.

Tom was greedy and full of envy and obviously himself too. He was jealous of his brother Jack who was Tamara's father since they were children. He always wanted what belonged to Jack his wife Marissa, his life, his company and the love that Jack got from his parents.

Though Jack and Tom were treated equally by their parents, Tom never felt loved enough as he never wanted to share his parents' love with anyone else. That's where his envy towards his brother Jack began.

Brighton took his suit coat as he bid goodbye to Alicia and the kids. He took the car keys and headed to the company.

 Tommy's architectural company that was known as the Sanchez architectural company was a large glass building which was situated at the centre of New York city. It had 20 floors which had an underneath basement which was the parking lot.

Brighton arrived at the company with his blue Benz and handed the car keys to the parking security guard to park the car in his reserved spot. He took the personal elevator and pressed the top floor button.

Annita, who was Tom's secretary, was head over heels for Brighton. She got goosebumps all over her arms when he saw Brighton coming out of the lift. "good afternoon Mr Brighton, I did not know you had an appointment with sir," Annita said in a seductive manner referring to Tom. "He is in his office."

"Thanks Annita but I do not need an appointment to see Tom,"Brighton answered Annita as he pushed the glass door to Tom's office. Kelvin, who was a colleague and a close friend to Annita, laughed at the top of his lungs at the way that Brighton talked to Annita. 

Kelvin knew Annita was obsessed with Brighton but Brighton never gave her a glimpse or attention. "I have told you countless times that you are infatuated with Mr Brighton, he has a wife and twins and he loves them. You know very well he would never give you the attention you need,"Kelvin told Annita.

Annita rolled her eyes and returned behind her desk. "I know he will one day give me attention and see me as an attractive lady and it's going to happen soon, just wait and watch. We will see who has the last laugh,"Annita said in an angry tone. 

Kelvin smirked at her and continued with his work. Annita had a picture cut out of a magazine that contained Brighton's face behind her desk and she always kept it with her wherever she went. 

She took it out and murmed a few words to herself with a sad expression. Kelvin looked at her and nodded his head in disbelief. "If she only knew how beautiful she was,she would never waste her time on such an unworthy man. If she only knew that I am in love with her and would do anything to protect and put a smile on her face she would love me,"kelvin had a monologue with himself.

He shook his head and got back to his work.

"How can this be possible? We made sure that she is gone for good," Tom clenched his fist in anger as he loosened his tie. He placed his hand on his forehead in disbelief. " Come down we can't come up with a plan to eliminate her for good with so much tension in the room,"Brighton said to Tom. 

Tom told Brighton that they had to finalise the deal with the Reyes company so that the Sanchez company can finally be under his name. " We just charged the name of the company but not the shares. The deal needs to be closed as soon as possible to avoid any inconveniences on our part," Tom said. 

"We need to find her and send her right to her parents or she will become our worst nightmare," Brighton said to Tom referring to Tamara as he took out his phone and failed to put a number on it. "I need you right away in the company,Tom and I are waiting for you," Brighton spoke in a calm voice to the person on the other end of the call.

"Mummy will protect you. I won't allow anyone to lay a finger on my precious princesses,"Alicia said facing her now sleeping children who were laid at the cribs. "I will not allow Tamara to destroy my family. I will do everything in my power to ensure that it does not happen,"Alicia said to herself. 

Alicia went to take a shower and dressed elegantly and headed to the company.

"Sir I have a message for you from Tamara Sanchez,"Mitchell said to Gael. "What did she say?"Gael asked "she just told me to inform you she called,do you want me to call her back and direct the call to your office? Mitchell asked Gael. "Yes please and thank you,"Gael commended Mitchell.

"I have just been informed that you had called but you didn't get hold of me, I was in a meeting with the shareholders of the company and am sorry for the inconvenience, hope you have considered my offer?"Gael asked Tamara. 

"Am the one who should be sorry for not calling at an appropriate time am sorry"Tamara apologised to Gael. "Yes I thought about it and came to a conclusion am going to work for you and will give it my best," Tamara said to Gael. 

"I will drop a pin in your phone stating the location of the company. Hope to see you tomorrow,"Gael told Tamara . "Have a lovely evening, Miss Tamara.

 "Stop being stubborn, you are a grown lady by now, you should know best as not to cry for a man. I raised you better than this. The behaviour you are showing does not match with whatever I taught you, you are acting like a spoilt kid," Mrs Rodriguez was heard shouting and banging the door.
