One year later

Sidney

I held my little one on my lap, looking at her graceful and radiant smile. She was more beautiful every day and more like her mother. She had light brown eyes, almost like mine, and curly hair, the most beautiful curls I've ever seen.

"Is she asleep yet?" Adeline asked, entering the room.

"No, and I don't think he's going to sleep anytime soon," I replied.

Adeline laughed and walked over to me. He caressed the little girl's hair, making her more cheerful and lively.

We were making time for her to sleep, as we were going to have dinner somewhere. My mother would stay with the baby for a few hours.

"Isn't it time for you to go?" my mother asked, coming closer.

"It pains me to leave you here!" said Adeline sadly.

“ Don't worry, she'll be in good hands “ said my mother, holding the little one in her lap.

It was beautiful the way she held my daughter. My mother's eyes shone, she melted all over.
