His mouth stayed on mine.

The kiss turned deeper and hungrier. My hands gripped the front of his shirt. He pressed me harder against the wall. I could feel every solid inch of him. The alcohol still hummed in my blood, but the want cutting through it was clear.

He broke the kiss and rested his forehead against mine. His breathing was steady. Mine was not.

“You can still walk out,” His voice drops lower, rougher, each word like a physical caress.

The words made something twist in my chest. Damien’s voice came rushing back. “You just lie there. You never please me. You’re not enough.”

I looked down. “I just want to feel like somebody wants me.”

feeling a rush of heat flood through me. I know it’s reckless, but I can’t help myself. I need this. I need him. I need to feel wanted instead of worthless. I need to forget Damien’s mocking voice, bella’s cruel betrayal, and the image of my husband thrusting into my best friend.

“If Damien can fuck whoever he wants, so can I.”

He was quiet for a few seconds.

Then he stepped back.

The sudden space between us felt cold.

“Maybe this is a bad idea,” he said.

The rejection landed harder than I expected. Heat flooded my face. Of course. Of course even a stranger didn’t really want me. Damien was right. I was pathetic.

“I understand,” I said quickly. I reached for the door.

His hand closed around my wrist before I could open it.

“I didn’t say I was done.”

He pulled me back and kissed me again, harder this time. I moaned in his mouth.  All the softness was gone. His hands gripped my waist, then my hips and my ass, each touch sending electric shocks down my spine. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever felt since I got married. He pinned my wrists above my head with one hand and pressed his body fully against mine. I could feel how hard he was.

A soft moan left my throat.

Maybe my relationship with Damien kept me so sexually starved that even this contact with a stranger drives me mad with lust, but I don’t care. I don’t fucking care anymore.

“There it is,” he murmured against my neck. “Those pretty sounds, l wonder what other noises I can make you make.”

His free hand slid under my dress, trailing up my inner thigh with agonizing slowness. I’m trembling, desperate, my panties already soaked through.  When he finally pushed my panties aside and his fingers traces my clit, I gasp.

“Fuck,” he breathes, still teasing my clit. “You’re dripping wet already.” he said, voice dropping lower and rough.

I should have felt ashamed. Instead I spread my legs  wider in shameless invitation. This is who I am now.

He pushed two fingers inside me, curling them just right, slow and torturous. My head fell back against the wall. The pleasure built fast. My hips moved against his hand without permission.

“Say it,” he ordered. “Tell me what you want.”

“Please,” I gasped. “I need you.”

He kept moving his fingers, deeper, faster. My thighs started shaking.

“Please what?”

“Please fuck me,” I whispered. “I don’t care if it’s wrong. I need you to take me right here. Use me, ruin me,I don’t care. Just please—”

He made a dark sound in his throat. His fingers curled harder. The first orgasm hit me fast and strong. I almost cried out and clenched around his hand, legs shaking.

He didn’t stop until the waves faded. Then he leaned in, mouth close to my ear, still holding me against the wall.

“My name is Adrian Vale,” he said, voice low and controlled. “Never forget it.”

The name hit me like cold water.

Adrian Vale.

I knew that name. Everyone in this city knew that name. One of the most powerful men in the business world. Richer than Damien. More connected. The kind of man people spoke about carefully.

My blood ran cold.

I just came on the fingers of Adrian Vale.

Heat flooded my face. Mortification crashed over me. If anyone found out… if word got out that Damien Blackwood’s wife got drunk and begged a man like Adrian Vale to fuck her…

My reputation would be finished.

“No,” I whispered, pushing at his chest. “No. This was a mistake. I didn’t know—”

He didn’t move back.

“It’s too late for that,” he said, voice still low. “You already asked me. You already came for me. You don’t get to run now.”

“I can’t,” I said, voice shaking. “People will think I threw myself at you because of who you are—”

“People don’t have to know.” His hand slid back between my legs. I was still sensitive and wet. He pushed two fingers inside me again, slow and deliberate. I bit back a moan. “But I do. And I’m not finished.”

“Please—”

“You said you wanted to feel wanted.” His thumb found my clit. “So stop talking and feel it.”

He kissed me hard, swallowing the rest of my protest. His fingers moved deeper, curling against that spot that made my knees weak. The second orgasm built fast. When it hit, I cried out against his mouth, whole body shaking.

He pulled his fingers out slowly and looked down at me. His eyes were almost black. I could see how hard he was, straining against his pants.

Without another word, he lifted me up while still kissing me. My legs wrapped around his waist on instinct. He carried me the short distance to the bed and laid me down carefully, never breaking the kiss.

My back touched the mattress.

He stayed over me, one hand braced beside my head, the other still warm on my thigh.

The room was quiet except for our breathing.

I stared up at him, heart slamming against my ribs.

I should have stopped this.

I didn’t.

“Who were you with?”He asked in a very calm tone. That made it worse. He stood in the middle of the guest room and looked at me like he already knew and only wanted to watch me lie.I closed the door. My bag was still in my hand. My legs still felt like they were outside, in that car, with Adrian Vale telling me last night was not over.“I needed air,” I said.He scoffed. “That’s the same sentence you used last night. Then you came home with no panties and another man’s smell on your skin.”“Don’t start.”“I already started.” He walked toward me. “You left after dinner. You used the back door. You were gone long enough to meet him.”“I walked.”“In those shoes? After I told you to stay in this room?”I didn’t answer. He stopped close enough that I could see the muscle jump in his jaw.“Was it the same man?”“There is no man.”“Sophia.” He said my name like a warning. “I heard you on that call. I heard you break. Don’t stand here and tell me you went outside to look at the garden.”My

I got in.Not because I had an answer but because the other choice was worse. If Adrian Vale knocked on that front door, Damien would see him, same as Bella. The whole house would know I had been with the one man in this city whose name could ruin me.The door shut. The car was quiet. It smelled like leather and his cologne. The same scent from last night. He didn’t look at me at first. He just drove. We only went a few streets away. Not far enough to disappear but far enough that the mansion lights were behind us.He parked under a tree and turned off the engine. Then he held out my ID.I took it. My fingers brushed his and immediately i felt my heart beating rapidly. I pulled my hand back fast.“There,” I said. “I have it. Now take me back.”He stared for a moment before speaking.“That’s all you came for?”“Yes.”“Then why are your hands shaking?”I looked down. “Fuck.” He was right. “Because this is dangerous,” I said. “Because you’re you. Because if anyone sees me in this car, t

  • The best friend i trusted   Chapter 8 – Family Table

I stared at the last message until my fingers went numb.I still have your panties, Sophia. There was only one person who could send that.Adrian Vale.I locked the phone and put it face down on the bed. It didn’t help at all. The words stayed in my head. The phone buzzed again.Don’t ignore me.I was about to type back when I heard footsteps in the hall.“Sophia.” Damien’s voice. “Downstairs. Now.”I shoved the phone into my bag, fixed my dress, and opened the door.He was already walking toward the stairs, like he didn’t need to check if I would follow. The dining room suddenly felt too tight to me. Bella sat on Damien’s right, in the chair that used to be mine. She had changed into a white dress. Her cheek was still a little red, but she looked pleased. There was a third plate across from her.It was for me.“Sit,” Damien said.I sat.A maid brought soup. Nobody spoke at first. Everyone started eating. Bella smiled at me. “You look better. A little.”I didn’t utter a word.Damien

  • The best friend i trusted   Chapter 7 – The Guest Wing

I stayed in the hallway longer than I should have, trying to process everything that just happened.Damien’s footsteps faded upstairs. The house went quiet again, but it didn’t feel empty. It felt like it was waiting for the next hit.I pulled my dress down properly and walked to the downstairs bathroom. I locked the door, turned on the tap, and cleaned myself with shaking hands. The water was cold. My thighs were sticky. My neck still burned where Damien had pulled my hair.I looked at myself in the mirror.Mascara under my eyes. Marks on my skin. A woman who left one man’s bed and walked straight into another man’s punishment.I washed my face and went upstairs. The master bedroom door was already open.Bella was inside. Two boxes sat on the bed. My clothes were in a pile on the floor, like someone had swept them out of the way. She was hanging a cream dress in my closet. Her perfume was already in the room. She looked up when she saw me and smiled.“Oh. You’re back.”I didn’t answer

  • The best friend i trusted   Chapter 6 – You Have a Lot of Explaining to Do

Damien stood on the last step and looked at me like I was some shit.“You have a lot of explaining to do.”I closed the door behind me. My bag felt heavy in my hand. My dress was wrinkled. My hair was a mess. I could still feel Adrian on my skin, and I hated that Damien could see all of it.“I told you I needed air,” I said.“Air??” He asked sarcastically while he came down the rest of the stairs slowly. “You needed air for the whole night? You needed air so bad you couldn’t answer your phone properly?”I stayed by the door. “I was upset.”“No,Sophia. You were with someone.”My throat tightened. “I just went to a bar.”“And then?”“And then I drank, that’s all.” I replied, trying so hard to keep my face calm.He stopped in front of me. Close enough that I could smell his cologne and I could see the anger sitting behind his calm face.“You came home smelling like another man.”I forced myself to look at him. “You were inside my best friend yesterday. In our matrimonial bed. Don’t stand t

  • The best friend i trusted   Chapter 5 – The Morning After

I sat on the edge of the bed with the sheet wrapped tightly around me.Morning light slipped through the thin curtains. My head ached and my body felt sore. The room still smelled like sex and his cologne. Everything about last night felt too real now that the alcohol was gone.Adrian was still in the bed behind me. He hadn’t said much since the call ended. He just watched me with that calm, unreadable expression, like he was waiting to see what I would do.I couldn’t look at him properly.Last night felt like it belonged to someone else. The drinks. The way he touched me. The way I let him. The way I came while my husband was on the phone. And his name.“Adrian Vale…..wait ADRIAN VALE!!”I pressed both hands against my face and let out a shaky breath as I remembered who he was. What the hell have I done?I stood up slowly, still holding the bed sheet, and started searching for my clothes. My dress was on the floor near the bed. I couldn’t find my panties, maybe because Adrian ripped i
