Liam’s Perspective

I felt a gentle touch on my cheek, accompanied by a tender voice calling my name. Tears welled up in my eyes, defying my efforts to hold them back. My mom was finally here, by my side. I wished my dad could be here too.

But as her voice filled my ears, memories of the past flooded my mind, bringing forth a sudden wave of resentment towards my mom. How could I forget? She was the one who shattered my childhood, leaving my dad and me behind to suffer. I shouldn't be feeling happy to see her.
