Chapter 025

Esther's POV

My eyes cut up with John who was laid beside me, scrolling through his phone.

“Good morning, little doll,” he greeted, as his gray eyes locked up with mine.

I swallowed hard on my saliva before quickly clutching the sheets on my chest immediately, not taking my eyes off him.

“What happened last night?” I asked anxiously as my heart raced.

“I was that man you met in the bar. I knew you didn't know I was the one,” he said, plastering a smile on his face.

“w…..what!” I screamed in shock, not wanting to believe what I had just heard.

My heart skipped a beat when I remembered how I told him about my worries, but I wasn't sure if I had told him about my inability to give birth.

“Yeah, now I know everything. The reason why you are always depressed and all,” he said in a cool voice.

“Tell me what I told you please. What did we discuss,” I asked with my hoarse voice.

“Come on, you…”

“Please just tell me,” I spat, cutting him off.
