Another wave of silence swept away the words from the room leaving nothing but the sound of my shallow breaths.
"What will I get?"
He walked towards the bookshelf taking his time, "What you wanted the most....your freedom."
I licked my dry bottom lip. Was it one of his games?
But more importantly, was I willing to play?
"What are you talking about?"
He removed a book from the second row and opened it, "You will get your old life back. You can achieve everything you wanted to and this will just be like a dream for you "
I bit the inside of my cheeks nervously.
Did I trust him enough to fall for those words? But what other choices did I have?
"How should I know this is not one of your lies?"
He chuckled turning a page, "You don't but this is your best chance of getting out of here."
He was right. I had no idea of knowing if he was lying or not. But was I willing
