Not so sweet
Tears started to trickle from her eyes, rolling down her cheeks. Nyra turned around and left from there before they could notice her presence.
She ran into her room and collapsed on her bed. Her slim frame shaking with the intensity of her sobs.
She knew her stepmother did not like her at all. But she is depressed to find out that her father doesn't care about her as well.
'What have I ever done to deserve this father? Why do you always treat me like an outsider? I can understand Barbara's hate towards me. But you? A father is supposed to protect her daughter. Then why are you so indifferent towards me dad?' She thought and cried her eyes out.
'I thought at least he would be happy that I came back safe and unharmed. But he is not bothered about me at all. All he is bothered about is his job, wife and daughters' she thought bitterly.
After Drake left for work, she too had a bath and changed into a yellow summer dress to go and greet her father.
