Chapter 13
"Alpha, it's the mutt who spoke against Laila, he's left... He's gone rogue".
As soon as those words had left Jaxon's mouth, I could feel Grayson's entire body tense. I could almost swear that the car was vibrating, not because of the engine but from his sheer anger.
"WHAT", Grayson roared.
"He spoke to me via mind link a few minutes ago...", Jaxon hesitated.
"AND?!", Grayson's anger continued to grow.
"Sir... He said to pass on a message to you. 'Tell the Alpha I said good luck, he's going to need it. And to make the most of his bitch while he can'...". Jaxon shuffled on his feet uncomfortably. We both waited anxiously for Grayson to respond, his hands were white as he gripped onto the steering wheel as if his life depended on it.
"Find him. Find him and bring him to me, alive", Grayson snarled before he sent the car flying down the road and towards the packhouse.

As I lay in the giant bathtub, I could feel my excitement and nervousness grow. When I awoke the next morning, Grayson had already left for the day. I rolled over to snuggle with his pillow and inhaled his intoxicating scent as it danced around me. My mind was still reeling from the events of the past couple of days... Had my father and Grayson really spoken face to face? Last night felt like a dream, to see my family and Grayson together and maintain a somewhat civil manner was bewildering. Three weeks had passed since my family and Grayson had agreed to work together. Once a week my dad and Grayson would meet at the territory line and report back any suspicious activity or sightings. Since the Dark Moon pack and the Crescent pack were both on the lookout, there had been no sightings of Kirk or any other rogues/unfamiliar wolves for that matter, not even a whiff of a scent.The attacks on the packs, including Slades, had ceased.
