James POV.
To find a rogue in the world we live in, you don't go out in the forest and hunt them, you could do that, but only real wild rogue wolves would be found there. Our world is ruled and devised by the supernatural, with a small part left for the human, a wild rogue won't do my research any good, Alpha Thalia had her eyes on a specific rogue, I knew who she would be, but I pretended not to connect the dots. Everyone doubted the real reason behind her allowing us to conduct this experiment, the rogue she has chosen, a young one, a pup of our age, has only been rogue for a couple of years now.Where would a normal teenage human hide when they are homeless, where would they hide? This rogue was similar to a young human who was kicked out of her place. She'd stay close to the last place she's been through, our instinct would say to mark the territory and keep it as ours, the abandoned buildings in the human district. A human teenager would hide there, as would a rogue who'd claim an abandoned place as theirs. Now I had to find where the young rogue girl is exactly, there are many places for her to hide in there. I could ask the local humans but not many of them would trust a wolf, none of the teenager humans would confirm nor deny seeing this specific wolf before. I had to use the company and their resources, the alpha has wolves and humans worker, people she could pay and buy information from."Hello, Peter, I need some humans who could talk with some human runaway teenager, find, anyone who could confirm the girl's last known space," I say on the phone, everything I do has to pass through Peter, Thaila being too busy for this, but she got her best man on it."Got it," Peter says ending the call, he too wanted this experiment to work, he wants to save all the poor rogues, the poor souls, it'll also take their company's name up in the books of history, but most of all he wants to save her...Peter didn't take long until he could find one of those humans, it wasn't that hard, humans would do anything for money, including selling to each other. He sent me a phone number saying they'd get me the address of the girl when they have the information. To find a rogue wolf girl, it's not that hard for them, low-level gangs and human mafia still live out on the streets, the abandoned places are their headquarters, they call themselves the resistance, and they must have stumbled upon a rogue or two.I received a call three days later, the wolf we were looking for lived nearby, in an abandoned subway, she had a corner all for herself, she was one of the toughest rogues that humans has ever seen or had the pleasure to fight with, known to bite anyone who dares to get toward her territory. The human who helped us was soon dealt with, this project is a top-secret one, we couldn't risk having anyone knowing or finding anything about it, a dead human, it's nothing new, it was a gangster who died, no one would look at the dead body twice.Peter managed to gather a full team of werewolves, all armed with sedatives, we all got to the abandoned subway, in full gear, ready to walk in, ready to take over the target, it's hunting season. Peter was leading the team, saying he's the most trained one among us, and he is.Peter went in first, the location was in the back of the subway, isolated from the rest, she had a tent sent for her there, garbage littered the place, we could also smell her urine, she tried to mark her territory, a move a young wolf shouldn't have done, not unless she's an alpha. I was worried about being screwed, having to deal with an older rogue, what if the human simply pointed us to some random rogue saying they looked like the wolf we showed them and asked for. The next scenario would be, that the girl is an alpha, it would be trickier to work with an alpha than with a natural submissive, it's another addition to the challenge. "Alpha team with me, beta the other way, surround her," Peter gave the order, he was the one to take the first step, he looked inside the tent with me looking over his shoulder, I could see her inside, she was asleep, hopefully. We took another step but she moved, stirring at the voice of people being too close to her, Peter took a breath holding his hand up, telling everyone to hold still, and they did, but she was up and awake, she knew we were near. She growled as I and Peter took a step back, opening the tent, now we all could see her, she was tiny, dirty, and angry, she jumped attacking right away, we couldn't use his gun and shoot her instead, we had to push her away without hurting her, she can't get hurt. When she tried to bite Peter's neck, and scratch his eyes out, I had to save him, I pushed her off him, and she fell down on the dirty floor, angry and growling, I have only aggravated her now."Don't hurt her," I warn the team, one of them tried to shoot her, but the analgesic dart didn't hit her, she tried to bite the neck of the guy who tried to shoot her. She had us following her, everyone running after her, they tried to shoot her again, but she was quick on her feet, her body was so small and slippery, she could run between the smallest cracks. She had the spirit, her red eyes looked at us with hate filling them, she didn't recognize anyone, although she knew most of us, at one point at least she did.I had to do something before the girl hurt herself before she took the wrong turn or jumped off the wrong edge. If she get hurt, I was sure that the alpha would have everyone's bum for it, I did a sneak attack, cutting her off, pushing her back toward peter. I had to use the tranquillizer injection I had on me, she was looking between me and Peter, it's the angriest we have pushed her through this whole chase, when she turned her back to me, I injected her, making her howl with pain and betrayal.James POV. "We got her sir," one of the team members says, they were all out of breath, they wanted to catch her and not hurt her, while the wolf wanted to eat them alive! It was a hard job, but we did it, we have her sedated, now I could examine her closer, examine her living environment. I looked around at the place she was staying in, I saw the garbage, I saw some dead animal's bones, it's her food, I could see she have searched the garbage for food, when that didn't work well, she moved to hunting small animals that she could catch. "Get the stretcher in, tie her down," I order out loud this part is now my responsibilities and not Peter, he helped get her sedated, but the moving part is mine. I can't risk her hurting someone from the team, even in her sleeping state, she could easily hurt them, one wrong move and someone would lose their head, eye or finger. Soon the stretcher was brought in, placing her over it, covering her with a warming blanket, the weather outside is cold
Ryan POV. A long time ago, me and my boyfriend Logan found the love of our life, we were trouble makers, two guys looking for work in the new world, we then met him during our work, we were supposed to be low-level workers in the hospital, but we wanted to help, we were nice to the patients and made sure everyone was safe and happy. It's how he found us, it's when he got his eyes on us, a doctor, a wolf doctor, we never meant to fall for him, we had each other, we were a hard-working couple who meant to live their happily ever after life together until he got in the middle, he saw our love to medicine, decided to make us his two helpers, we became his assistant. The next thing we knew, he sent us off to nursing school, and we came back with diplomas, and a better job, we only work with him, he's the only doctor we work with. One thing brought another thing, and here we are, kneeling on our knees in front of him, calling him our master, our sir, the one we love. As the years went b
Ryan POV. "Hey, don't cry now," I say holding Logan, he was on the verge of tears, he doesn't do well with seeing patients this hurt. "She's so small, so vulnerable," Logan cries again. "She almost killed half the rescue team, don't take her for granted," I remind my partner, although she's sweet and fragile, she's a strong little thing. "Let's go check with sir, maybe he can hold me, well us," Logan says, he loves to be held, and I agree, we need to be held now. We moved toward his office seeing the door closed, we knocked and waited to be allowed in. "What do you want us to do Sir?" Logan asks, sounding like the kid who just got their ass handed to them, we're going to get cuddles but work first. "Put an IV in, full-spectrum antibiotics, we'll have to break a few bones and re-align them," James says, he had every scan we did over his laptop, he's trying to sound firm and strong, but truth to be told, he sounded the most broken we have ever heard him. "Should we keep her unde
Logan POV. They knew how to deal with my emotions, they knew where to push me, if it was up to me, I would have gone to my room and cried, I would have cried for hours and hours, maybe until she heals, but then she needs my help, she needs me to be there for her as her nurse. Ryan was right, sex does help me, it's the best stress relief ever, and the cuddles afterwards do magics to me, I'm usually tucked in the middle between them hugged, kissed and loved, it's my favourite place to ever be. "Ray," I mumble waking one of my mates up, trying to whisper to avoid waking James, he doesn't appreciate my four am chats, he says they could wait until seven am, or maybe ten. But once I have something on my mind, I'll stay awake until I talk it through, and usually, Ryan is my poor victim. "What?" he mumbles back, his hands resting on my bum, squeezing my cheeks, I felt a blush get on my face, didn't he just have enough? "If the plan works," I say, it's not if, it's when it works, I had fu
James POV. A week has passed, a full week now, I went over the plan with Ryan and Logan ten times already, they know they can do it but they are also worried about failing me and her, they could never fail, they are the ones I would trust with my life, and I know she would do, as would the alpha. I had a call with the alpha, I couldn't leave the house, I couldn't risk her needing any kind of medical attention with me gone, instead, we had a video call, I showed the alpha the girl, I never thought I'd see the ice queen that's our alpha crying, until that day. She didn't cry, she was frozen, a tear shining in her eye, but nothing else, she looked shocked, happy, scared and worried, my wolf felt the urge to bow its head, to howl to the moon, to show his alpha compassion, her pain was our pain, and we couldn't take it. "Do you know her name?" the alpha asks me, I shook my head no, we all knew it was her sister, or we had our doubts, but we never dared to say it out loud, what if we had
Logan POV. Every day it's the same again and again we've been doing this for over a week now, every day she woke up, every day she screamed, every day James would try to push her into submission, it wasn't that easy for her, we were keeping her sedated enough to be awake giving her the slighted control over her limbs, but not enough to leave the bed. The look in her eyes was shifting, it was different. She looked angry, she looked on the verge of breaking, I wasn't so sure if pushing her any further was a good idea, but it wasn't my call, although I did make sure my opinion was heard around three am this time. "Today we're going to try something new," James told us both this morning, we all noticed the change in her. "As alpha Thaila put it, monkey sees, monkey does," he says with a smile, we both turned to him confused what? "What would the monkey do?" Ryan asks, he got it? Cause I didn't. "It's when someone copies another person, you won't jump a cliff unless you see others ju
Ryan POV. She finally gave in, she submitted to us, well she did to James, and a little bit to us, she stopped crying now, she's not moving much, she could move her hands and legs a little bit. She tried to kick me earlier today when I went to change her, we have her dressed in the hospital gown, with a pad set underneath her. "That's not nice Melody," I scold her, but she only growls back at me, we keep on calling her Melody, it's her real name but that doesn't mean she's answering to it, she doesn't remember maybe? We're not sure what's going on in her head, but we do know she's almost ready for the second step. "Growling isn't nice either, if you play nice I'll talk daddy into allowing us to get you out of the clinic," I say, the clinic was the first stop, a place that's clean and sterile to heal all of her wounds, as a wolf she heals much faster than humans. She doesn't answer me this time, not a growl, not a bite, instead, she looks at her IV, which means she does understand
James POV. Step one was done, Melody is now healed, she's getting used to being touched, picked up and set down and the biggest progress was real food, even if it was only a couple bites of her food, she did eat. Before I can allow her full motion and movement of her body, we need to take advantage of her statue and start bonding with her, before she could run and hide, or fight and kick us not listening. Hopefully, she won't try to bite the head off the person who's reads her stories, she would listen to us, she does understand what we say, she growls and huffs and puffs in answer to most of my comments, not liking to obey. Right now I have fed her and she's hanging out with Logan with a kids show running on the tv for her, hopefully it would keep her entertained and help her communication skills, while I was in my office, finishing today's paper work. "How is she doing?" Alpha Thaila asks right away on the phone, I report to her every time we do a new step. "She started eating
