Chapter 10:

Although the person who appeared before me was none other than Noah , I never smelled the slightest hint of blood on him.

I should also fear the smell of blood, but I didn't know why I wasn t afraid at all when it's coming from Noah.

"Grace !"

Noah looked at me, so excited that his voice choked up and I could even see the tears in his eyes.

"Mr...."

I didn't know how to comfort him or what he was thinking.

Noah placed the goblet with the blood in it outside the door of the room, then walked over to me and reached out and hugged me.

"Great, you're alive..."

Noah’s arms were tightening around me, making me feel like I was having trouble breathing, but I didn't want to push him away.

I could truly feel his worry and fear.

Although for all I know, he may have just sucked human blood.

It wasn't until I was already starting to get dizzy that Noah let go of me and retreated to the door.

"I'm sorry for the smell of blood on me...but believe me, I'm not sucking blood, I'm just looking for people with the same blood type as you and using

their blood in order to save you..."

Noah nervously explained to me.

I didn't know why, but I thought he looked a little funny at that point and couldn t help but laugh.

"Actually, I'm not afraid of the smell of blood on you."

I said to Noah with a smile.

Even when he bit me, I didn't feel terrible, or maybe I decided he didn't want to kill me.

Noah was happy to hear my words, because I would not be afraid.

I felt grateful that he chose to bite me at the time, rather than throw away his identity to protect me.

Vampires were just like humans, and those without

status were bullied and even had their lives taken.

Especially that Duke Taz and his daughter Mireya would surely punish him.

When I thought of punishment, I couldn t help but think of what Noah said about the holy fire.

Noah went back to his room to change into clean clothes and gave the cup of blood to Ike by the way.

"Have a good rest first, no need to study today."

Noah stood in the doorway of the room and said to me.

"Sir, are you leaving?"

I looked at him and asked after him.

"Mireya is coming to the manor, you don't need to

face her, stay here and wait for my return."

Noah replied.

I watched him walk out, I didn't know what Mireya would do, but she was by no means a nice person.

After Noah left, a maid came into the room with fruit and some food.

"Grace, my goodness! You're actually awake!"

The maid's name was Anna, and as soon as she saw me, she screamed with excitement.

She was also the one who taught me how to take care of the garden, and she was the first person in the manor, besides Noah and Ike, who would smile at me.

"When you were brought back by the Lord Noah, I

thought you had died, the Lord Noah ran around the last few towns to find someone with the same blood type as you, and took care of you personally for a few days..."

Anna crumbled next to me as she set out the food.

"How many days have I been in a coma?"

I asked Anna about it.

"Three days, in these three days, the Lord Noah has to deal with his business during the day and take care of you at night, if I were taken care of by the Lord Noah like this, I would have run from here to the North Pole in the night to tell my mother loudly!"

The more Anna talks, the more excited she gets.

"The North Pole?"

I was a little confused.

I began to suspect that Anna was the child born to her mother and a polar bear, but the exaggerated expression on Anna's face when she said this was hilarious.

I comforted her. Everyone could carry a beautiful fantasy in their hearts, and I did too.

Anna left my room happily after chatting with me for a few more minutes.

I was surrounded by food and started fighting them.

Suddenly, the room door was opened once again.

As I chewed my food, I looked to the door, thinking it was Noah who had returned.

But the person who appeared in front of me was a stranger.

His eyes were dark red and he opened his mouth at me, showing his fangs.

"This is Noah’s manor, I am his pet, if you dare to touch me, the Lord Noah will definitely throw you into the holy fire!"

I cursed as I backed up to the corner.

"The Lord Noah? Unfortunately, he's with Miss Mireya right now, and I'm here to kill you!"

He approached me step by step, I retreated to the corner, but there was no longer a place in the room where I could hide.

"Help!"

I fell into a corner and cried out helplessly for help, hoping someone would hear me.

He grabbed my hand, lifted me up and carried me on his shoulder.

I ran to the balcony and jumped down.

"Ah!"

I screamed loudly out of fear and closed my eyes.

And seemingly he didn't want to kill me in Noah manor, wanted to take me somewhere else.

The servants of the manor almost only come out in the morning and evening, and they stayed in the house for the rest of the time.

He ran as fast as he could carrying me, in the direction of leaving the manor.

"Where do you want to take my pet?"

Noah’s voice came from behind me and the vampire carrying me stopped.

Seeing Noah, the vampire set me down and turned to flee.

Noah lifted his hand and a crimson thread flew past my eyes in his palm, binding the vampire.

"How dare you come to my manor and try to snatch my pet? No matter who your master is, you will be consumed by the holy fire.

Noah said indifferently.

The vampire didn't say a word, just looked at Noah and me.

Obviously he had thought of the consequences of his capture by Noah from the very beginning.

"Noah, what's going on?"

Mireya came over and asked, she was wearing a pink dress today.

She walked over to Noah and reached out to take his arm.

"This man entered the manor and tried to snatch my pet, and for such a person who behaves despicably, he should be burned to death with holy fire."

Noah said as he glared at the bound vampire.

"Yes, it does feel infuriating, but he didn't succeed either did he?"

Mireya hesitated for a moment before saying.

She seemed to be hiding something.

"You think I should spare him?"

Noah asked.

"Yes, because he didn't even bite your pet or leave your manor, just a small warning, and I'm sure he'll remember that lesson."

Mireya said with a smile.

Her words made me think even more that the vampire was trying to kill me because of her orders.

"Grace, what did he say to you?"

Noah came up to me and asked.

"He..."

At that moment, I saw Mireya, who was standing behind him, and her eyes began to turn red.
