I tear open the thick, opulent envelope. The embossed paper falls to the table in front of me. I scan over the hand written words that swoop and swirl dramatically over the page. ‘Shifting in a place where humans are’, ‘entering vampire territory without notification’. I tear the letter in two and smash my fist through the solid wooden table I’m sat at. As my intentions were to kill Julius and take back my birth right, I saw no sense in alerting the vampires, I didn’t want to lose the element of surprise.
