Megan slid into the car, her breath still laboured from the frantic escape. She couldn't shake the feeling of Elizabeth's predatory gaze on her back. As the door closed, she exhaled a shaky breath, grateful for the temporary reprieve.

“Go after her, stupid,” came Elizabeth’s stern command from the Crowd, her voice cutting through the tension like a knife.
