CHAPTER NINE

I got to the door and opened it as soon as I reached there. I can see confusion in his eyes, maybe he was expecting Arya to be alone or with christabel. I asked some guards to surround the door but that doesn't necessarily mean I would be here.

" Alpha Kory, Arya is sleeping". I stated watching opening and closing his mouth wanting to say something before focusing his eyes on me. He was trying to catch a glimpse of her but I won't let him.

" Your Majesty, I just wanted to apologize to her. It was wrong for me to loose my temper that way . Nevertheless, she broke one rule of the pack."

" Ohh, is that so...I knew he is lying, I felt his heartbeat increased when he said that lie. I hate people lying to me. They always think their smart but I could always detect their lie almost immediately.

" What law did she break?" I asked. Let's see what lies he comes up with.

" Her, she....he stuttered then paused opening and closing mouth like a damn fish. Exactly he didn't have anything to say. I was about walking away when he spoke again and I felt the last bit restraint I have left slip away. " She was caught sleeping with someone else mate which is highly prohibited here, especially if that male has found his mate." The moment those sentences left his mouth I approached him and slammed him on the wall. Fear is evident on his eyes.

"Let me kill him," Ravage snarled.

I was considering it; he deserved it. To be honest I want to crush his skull against the wall. Then, I heard the door open and I saw Arya at the doorstep, as soon as I looked at her beautiful figure, I could feel the anger radiating from her. Her mesmerizing eyes sparkled brightly I felt my anger slowly vanish.

Alpha Kory, enlighten me, when was these so called law you are referring to established. Moreover the last I remember you not part of this pack at least not now. She said without an ounce of fear.

I was proud of my mate. If she was wolf-less or thought she was then, she should be scared of an Alpha but Arya wasn't, instead she stood her ground and made him uncomfortable.

Arya stared straight towards him without blinking. Her defiance was present in her former statement. Kory looked at her, completely lost on what to say. He stood there, obviously looking for a lie to say again.

" I thought so, such law doesn't exist and even if it does, I have never been with anyone and that makes your accusations invalid," she stated. I was mesmerized by her confidence and strength.

She had some fear deep down and she had done well In hiding it but I'm going to make sure it disappears with time.

Kory on the other hand, was spitting fire at her. He's making Ravage to want to split his head into two and I'm done controlling my wolf for this idiot. Before Ravage would go on a killing spree, I decided to end Kory's conversation and visit.

But before he left I decided to remind him of an obvious fact now; " Alpha Kory, Arya is no longer part of your pack, she's mine now." My chest revibrated from the possessive display. "She needs to rest from your previous assault, if you continue harassing her , I would press charges against you for attacking someone that belongs to me. She won't be answering any of your questions until she's completely healed. I'm taking her inside so she can follow the doctors instructions and I advise you leave right now," I growled at him.

I lef Arya inside. I enjoyed the sparks that erupted from our skin touching. Arya pulled her hand from mine the moment I closed the door. I was confused but the moment I lookrd at her and saw how furious she is, I knew I have f**ked up.

"Someone is gonna be eaten alive," Ravage chuckled. He was mocking, I knew that but I was less concerned about him right now rather my beautiful Goddess. That's why I wanted talking to her but Kory interrupted our conversation and caused the misunderstanding. Damn Kory!

Your Majesty, "are you going to brand me now," she seethed-her voice laced with resentment.

Well...this demonstrate I definitely f****d up. I was about to explain myself when we were interrupted again, but this time it is Campbell at the door and I know he wouldn't come here for nothing.

" My king, I apologized for the sudden intrusion but there's something important you need to attend to." He looked disturb so I knew it something I have to check on, meaning I need to excuse myself again. I was about to tell Arya to hold on for a bit while I go check but when I turned back she wasn't there. She was gone. I was about loosing my mind when I heard the sound of running water in the bathroom. I sighed, I would explain to her when I get back.

With that, I l left the room with Campbell's. I just hope she would forgive me after I explain everything to her and she will be willing to give this bond a chance. I wish I was in my pack where I have everything under control. Here.. I'm just a visitor.

Arya pov

I sat in the bathroom waiting for kaid to leave the room. I'm extremely mad at him , furious even. He claimed me like I was a damn property. What's his problem? Couldn't get treat me more like a normal human being? I was his mate for God sake .

Unless.... I'm only a breeder to him? Did he only sweet talk me into giving in to him. Of course he did, who would want a wolf less mate? He's the king and need a strong Luna but I'm not one, not even a strong Alpha want me.

" You are strong Arya, we are strong,' Asira uttered.

She have always stated that we are strong but I don't believe her. I sometimes doubt her existence because if she were real, we could have turned by now. There's a wolf trapped inside of me and until the day I become one, I'm still human.

"Asira, he needs a wolf by his side, and we haven't even turned . I don't how you look like . I don't want to tell anybody I have a wolf because I don't know if I would ever get to see you myself, I answered her.

I just had to tell her because the sooner she gives up the idea of being the King's mate, the less she suffers. Asira huffed and retreated to the back of my mind. I knew she was angry but I had to let her know.

I sat under the shower letting calm my nerves and reduce the pain inflicted on my neck by Kory. I haven't looked at the damage but for sure there's an awful mark. I just didn't want to see the extent of the damage done. It's not the first time that I have being hit , but for every single time I see bruises on my body, it just reminds me of my wolf-less ness and how my healing solely depends on my human self.

As showered, I let the water take my problem of my mind . For those few minutes I was just Arya. Not a slave, a breeder or even a mate. I closed the shower head the moment i finished and started drying of my body. I walked to the mirror to see the inflicted mark but it's gone. I stared at the empty spot for a while. Just when I thought... It started appearing slowly once my body became dried.

" What's happening," I asked no one in particular just completely baffled.

" I told you we are strong Arya, water is part of our element." Asira stated.

What does she mean by element? I was going to ask her when I heard a commotion outside the room. My hearing is changing, everything in me is changing. Does this mean I could fully transform into my wolf form and have a chance on becoming kaid mate.
