Freya's p.o.v

The court room ascended into a murmuring centre as the man behind the voice swaggered in with a number of other people. Among them was the man with a scar I had met at the slave market the other time.

I gasped at the mere sight of him. My eyes darted around and as they fell on Lucien, I could only see suppressed anger glowing through his now crimson red face.

"Hello, Elder Alvin," the man greeted the elder man who has been the master of the ceremony, patting him by the shoulder as he and his goons walked pass the isle and settled on some of the seats around. "How unfair of you to try to go ahead with the bonding without me?"

His voice was more of a menace than a friendly gesture and the look on Lucien's face said it all. I couldn't quite place my hand on it, but I know his presence in the court room is the least wanted.

"And now that the ceremony is almost ended. The next phase will be the marking," Elder Alvin continued. "As the tradition goes, there's need to mark your mate in front of everyone so the bond gets solidified and the whole of Luparia knows who she belongs to."

I felt my heart pounded at the mention of the marking ceremony or the touch of Lucien on me.

"Uhm... can we do that in private, please?" I blurted out and every head in the court turned to meet me at the throne.

"It's a marking bond not mating bond, dummy human," one of the goons that had followed the man in bellowed at me from his seat. "This isn't Homine. It's Luparia and that's how things are done here."

"Shut it," the man shut him up by raising a finger and he backed off slowly. "Let's just wait and see as the truth unfolds."

The truth? Unfolds?

I gazed at Lucien once more and his face was pure madness. He seem to be glaring at the man and his goons and I couldn't help but think and drown in the pool of confusion as to what is actually going on.

Madam Selene's gesture translating that all is well only made me do a double take. Nevertheless, I turn to face Lucien and ask.

"Are you OK?"

His face turned normal as he blinked, only heaving a heavy sigh in return.

"Shall we proceed to the marking ceremony and then call it a night?" Elder Alvin asked.

Lucien nodded.

My body trembled as Lucien got near and near to me. His masculine hands touched my neck and I felt a huge surge of hotness erupt from inside of me. It was way intense that I needed to stop him even before his lips could reach for my neck. It felt really uncomfortable that it almost made me pass out.

"I can't," I jerked away from Lucien. "I'm sorry this was a mistake. I can't do this."

The court room fell silent.

I felt my body drip in hot sweats inside my off shoulder gown and a furrowed brow expression on Lucien's face as the goons and man's laughter filled the court made me gasp for breath.

"What the hell is funny, Cassius?" Lucien barked at the man and I could see his fisted hands about to through punches.

"Everything Lucien," Cassius answered sharply, rising to his feet. "We all know this is never ending well. It didn't with your ex-mate and why would it with a mere slave? I'm sure the moon goddess only wanted a slave for you and we all know what that is all about. But a mate? I bet the moon goddess must have been high or something."

"Hey, watch it, Cassius," Elder Alvin intercepted.

"Oh, shut up Alvin. We all know the truth why won't you just say it as it is. It's only a matter of time before I put you in your place anyway."

With that being said, Cassius and his goons left as they arrived and every other Lycans followed suit.

Lucien only returned to his throne, sat down and watched as everyone other Lycans continue to exit the court including Madame Selene who was hesitant at first. I know seeing her in the court room would most likely be the last time I'd be seeing her again, considering that I will now be under the Alpha king's protection and all.

Being the last Lycan left in the court, I looked at Elder Alvin as he bowed and left the court after Lucien whispered into his ears.

My gaze fell on Lucien and I could tell he was really pissed. Still not looking at me but at the door instead, I felt like he was mad, really mad at what I had let happen to him.

"I'm... I'm so sorry," I try to apologize after I look around to see that we were the only ones remaining in the court.

My apology tend to fall into deaf and three guards barged in into the court shortly after.

"Your honour," they bowed, Lucien's gaze still away from me.

I felt like my stopping the marking bond has led to a quick switch in him and his face was just dead cold and devoid of any emotions.

"Just a minute," Lucien said.

They all left outside the court, the door closed.

I blinked in confusion at the sudden switch of Lucien. Just minutes ago, he was super sweet and now, he was just an entirely different person.

Not sure of what to do, I kneeled down beside him and began to beg him. His hands suddenly clamped tight around my arms, his fingers dug dip into my skin and shaking my body violently with while screaming at me caused me to fight back due to the hotness of his touch as I rose to my feet. It felt so uncomfortable.

He wouldn't stop screaming at me the more I pleaded and try to wiggle free from him. Instead, his hold tightened on my body as he continued to shake me whilst holding me.

"How dare you human try to humiliate me in front of not only everyone but also that jerk? You think this is a joke?"

"No, please stop. I"m so sorry I didn't..." I couldn't even finish my statement as I try so hard to wiggle away from his stronghold. "Please, I beg you. Stop. It hurts."

"Shut up," he snapped at me and I could see his once piercing and alluring blue ice turn dark. "Since, you wouldn't let me mark you then having you as pleasure wouldn't be a bad idea either— my personal pleasurer."

Nevertheless, he grappled my neck and he dug his teeth on my it forcefully. I felt my body went completely numb. I collapsed to the ground and everything starts to blur.

"Take her to the dungeon," I heard Lucien command his guards as they came back in and then...

I finally blacked out.

  • The human breeder for the cursed Alpha king   Chapter 5

Freya's p.o.v Today will be my last day at Madame Selene's manor as her maid or slave. I am now been handed over to the Alpha king. According to her, I am his mate and he will be solely responsible for my well- being henceforth. If Madame Selene can trust him enough to give me to him, I believe I can trust him too, even though I have never met him or know what he looks like. I will soon be transported to the court where the mating ceremony would be happening. I looked at myself once more in the mirror in my room as Evelyn and Elina as well as my other human mates in the manor came to bid their final good bye. My mind drifted back to my experience at the wild the other time as I gaze upon the satchel hanging down in my room—the strangeness and everything that revolved around that moment. I couldn't bring myself to tell anyone about it because I don't want Madame Selene feeling so sad and guilty. Thankfully, no one was home when I arrived and the other maids were busy with their c

Lucien's p.o.v "Going to see that worthless witch again?" Amarantha said as I stood at the door entrance of my court. That traitor. I could tell it was her from the voice. "What the hell are you doing here, Amarantha? Shouldn't you be with your mate?" "You should give up the throne already Lucien. It's your destiny. Why still prove head strong with crowning Cassius King with no heir in sight?" My anger piqued but I didn't turn back to reply her, I just walked away, throwing her question and choice of words to the wind. As the leader of the Shadow pack and reigning Lord of Luparia, I have been subjected to humiliations by people that I'd die for, doubting my competence in leading the pack and kingdom at large due to my curse. Actually, two curses. I had acquired the curses through my father many years ago by a witch after he killed her only son. She had cursed his killer to never bear an heir and even if he already did , the child will never exceed the age of twenty fiv

Freya's p.o.v "I'm so sorry you had to go through all of that, Freya," Evelyn apologized as we chatted about my journey to Luparia in the kitchen while I got busy with preparing lunch. She insisted on lending a helping hand as other maids got super busy with cleaning the manor and other chores. Just like humans, Elina and Evelyn attend schools too, but Evelyn would be having her class later than her sister today. I have been able to learn a few things from them some of which include magic. Perhaps, that contributed to my senses starting to get hyper these days. "It's fine, Evelyn." It's been weeks since I reached Luparia(a term used by the humans/Homines for where the werewolves live in general) and it's safe to know that I am now pretty much acquainted with a lot of things here. I know there's no way out of here even if I dare to— not after what Evelyn had told me about the Fenrirs' guarding the wolfgates. I would literally be putting my life at risk—every risk imaginable.

  • The human breeder for the cursed Alpha king   Chapter 2

Freya's p.o.v My eyes opened slowly as the sun rays fell on my face. I woke up to the murmur of some merchants calling out their wares. And then there was a noise from the two guys that had attacked me the other time. "Damn it, King. We should sell that human coat too. Can't believe I have to keep wearing that thing every night in order to hunt." "Well, how the fuck are we going to be successful in getting more slaves if we don't pretend to be or act like them. You dummy," King replied by tapping the other guy with red hair by the back of his head. My eyes darted around as I finally gained consciousness. I had been put in a cage made of thick woods there wouldn't be any chance of escaping even if I dared to. I looked at the environment to meet the most unexpected twist of my life. I have been brought to what looks like a market square, but what baffles me is how the people are dressed. They are so different from our modern wears back at Homines and they look like they are li

  • The human breeder for the cursed Alpha king   Chapter 1

Freya's p.o.v It's 12:00 a.m., and it's my eighteenth birthday today. It's been twelve good years without that noise — the one that sings at my door step every birthday morning and sings me my favorite birthday songs. A noise. That has been what I tell him each time he comes in with a trumpet in his mouth, but to think I'd be sitting on my bed the moment I turn eighteen only to miss that noise is pretty overwhelming. I was just six when the news of my father's death spread like wild fire. He used to work as a truck driver and once, I had heard that he used to be a hunter too— before my birth. My mother died at childbirth and for all I know, she was beautiful—her pictures confirm it too. My father hardly spoke about her, perhaps it's because I was so young and always get pretty emotional each time he did and he hates to see cry. I held her picture standing on the nightstand beside my bed in my hands and heaved a sigh. My father had thought taking in a new wife would help fill in
