Chapter 52

A few days ago

After a day had passed Rebecca decided it was time to go see her father and tell him about the new revelation, so she managed to sneak out of the castle and went straight home, then she felt that something was off but she shook it off.

As she reached the house, she was welcomed by the maid, "Welcome, my lady,"

"Where is my father?" Rebecca asked

"In the study," she replied, but Rebecca noticed that it seemed like she was hiding something, but she chose to ignore the maid and went to look for her father

On getting to her father's study, Rebecca hesitated outside his study, and she took a deep breath. The dimly lit corridor seemed to echo her racing heartbeat. Steeling herself, she knocked gently on the door.

"Come in," her father's voice called from within. As she entered, she found him engrossed in a pile of scrolls, his brow furrowed with the weight of his responsibilities.
