5. Who am I really looking for?

Chapter 5: Who am I really looking for?

Author

Marco headed to the bar where he had fun with several women in the dance hall until finally going up to the suite. Despite always being with many women, even though his brother warned him about it, he was aware of how superior his strength was. If he lost control, he would hurt them severely.

Even though there were around five girls in his room, none of them could handle Marco's lack of control. Since it had been so long since he had any sexual contact with anyone, sexually possessing them drained every drop of their energy in an unusual way.

For Marco, it was a good moment of fun during the act, but after everything was over, he was struck by a sense of emptiness as he looked at the ring on his hand, thinking about that chubby girl who stirred up confusing emotions in him.

Disheartened, Marco sat on the sofa in just his shorts, his whole body exposed like a sculpture. His caramelized skin and black, sleek hair shimmered in the dim light, a glass of whiskey with ice clinking in his hand as he indifferently looked at the naked women piled on the large bed.

After emptying a whiskey bottle, he dressed himself, while the girls moved around in bed trying to wake up.

"You're a monster," murmured one of them, pointing at him while showing signs of pain.

"That's what they say, dear. So don't let it get to you," he said arrogantly, tossing some bills onto the bed and leaving.

It was already night when Alessa's clothes and shoes arrived. She was excited about everything that had arrived; finally, she had clothes that fit her.

She changed, and Yolanda came to fetch her for breakfast. However, she couldn't walk around the house alone. As she walked with Yolanda, her curiosity was piqued by the corridor that turned left. She knew it was the restricted area she couldn't go to.

After finally settling into her room, she went to the dresser, opened the mysterious drawer, and took out a discreet, delicate necklace with a flower pendant surrounded by root-like details, holding it close to her chest with her eyes closed.

"If only she knew her daughter's fate now," she murmured thoughtfully.

Marco had not yet returned home; he had decided to go to his favorite spot. He parked his car by the roadside and gazed at the tall trees, a forest he remembered from his childhood, the place where his world was sealed to the human world. But over a hundred years had passed, and all traces of his history had disappeared. There were still a few of his kind scattered around the world without being able to communicate with each other.

In the midst of that darkness, in a split second, his body was just a black silhouette that merged with the darkness, disappearing among the trees at a monstrous speed. That was the environment he liked to run in, while his feet still felt traces of magic that reminded him of his home.

It was already late at night, and Alessa, in her room, remained awake. She remembered her husband and internally thanked that she didn't have to serve him, and he didn't care about her either.

The night was unusually hot, or was it the stuffy mansion? Her throat now scratched and asked for water. She knew she couldn't go out at that time, but there wasn't a glass of water nearby.

"Okay, this is my lucky charm. If something happens, I know my mother will be with me. After all, what could be so dangerous?" she murmured, heading for the exit.

Yolanda had warned her, but despite being fearful, wearing only a nightgown and barefoot, she went out and descended the stairs for water. After briefly looking at the dark hallway behind her, strange things started at the bottom of the stairs when she returned after drinking water. She heard strange noises coming from the corridor. She walked slowly towards the bend in her corridor, and it was completely dark. But she wasn't afraid. She remembered which door led to her room, so she moved through the darkness until she realized there were shadows around her and something furry lightly touched one of her legs.

It didn't take long for her to hear grunts around her. She tried to run back to her room, but she felt a strong blow to her back, causing her to stumble and fall a few meters away.

Terrified, Alessa turned around, perceiving the black shadow coming toward her. She could see the fierce eyes looking at her and the open teeth. She knew it was a dangerous beast, so she closed her eyes, protecting her face with her forearm.

She barely noticed that the pendant hanging from her neck reflected in the eyes of the wolf, interrupting the deadly attack as it looked closely at the necklace, seemingly recognizing something. It deeply sniffed Alessa's hair and licked her forearm, leaving her confused. She then saw that those eyes, once red, were now sparkling blue, and its black fur glistened in the dark.

Alessa didn't understand, but the creature was even bigger than her and was now lying in front of her, looking at her calmly. As it rubbed its snout against her arm, it also touched her face. She couldn't identify what kind of creature it was, but she had a suspicion that it might be a wild wolf. However, she didn't notice its interest in her flower pendant.

Despite it no longer posing any danger, she remained fearful. So she hardly moved. The corridor remained dark; sometimes, the moonlight entering through the stained glass revealed some indecipherable things, but it didn't help her understand what was happening. Finally, the creature got up and stood in front of her, gazing at her closely, then it felt cold and wet touch the tip of her nose, like an Eskimo kiss. Afterward, that large body passed by her, going down the corridor and turning into the restricted corridor she couldn't enter.

"Who would have thought that what was dangerous was a giant wolf..." she murmured, frightened, running to her room. After that, she could barely close her eyes, and at exactly six o'clock, Yolanda was already in her room, and to her misfortune, she brought with her a uniform in a transparent package. The lady did not seem at all happy as she handed it to her.

"Dear, surely things were not meant to be like this, but the gentleman is not very kind," she tried to justify.

"Mrs. Yolanda, it's okay, as long as he doesn't demand my papers as his wife..."

"I've said it before, I'll never want a clumsy fat woman as a wife," Marco vociferates, entering the room wearing a mask, giving him time to hear what she had said.

"Thank you, sir," she replied ironically, taking the uniform with pride.

"So, what will be my first task?" she asked indifferently.

"You'll clean the backyard garden, alone," he orders harshly, glaring at Yolanda, who showed reluctance at his request.

"Okay, the backyard garden," she repeats, ignoring him.

"Sir!" Yolanda called as they left the room.

"What do you want?" he asked irritably.

"But the backyard garden is too dangerous. She's just an innocent girl."

"Feeling sorry for her? I don't care. Now I have one more reason not to want her in the house."

"What's happening? Should I really treat her like this?"

"Regardless of the contract... I've already paid her father, and she's no longer useful to me. I want her dead, and we'll make it look like an accident. In the late afternoon, that pest comes out looking for food. She'll make a plump meal for a month," he laughed mercilessly.

Meanwhile, Alessa put on the maid uniform and wore her mother's necklace as protection. She started tidying up the house with Yolanda, who remained apprehensive, unable to say anything.
