Chapt. 30

It's been three days since his last verbal encounter with Louisa. He occasionally saw her when she came to pick Gianna up but wouldn't say a word, not because he hadn't something to say but because he thought it would be wise to give her space. Give them space. She clearly needed it but he didn't. He had had enough over the years.

He'd escorted his mum back home from the supermarket after spending little time with his daughter and waving her goodbye.

"What's up with your baby mama? She looks bitter these days or is that her real self?" Ruth said as she pulled out some bread.

"She isn't usually so," his stare fixed on nothing in particular, "someone inflicted it. A really bad person turned her into what she is today and only that person can stitch her back to normal."
