After Xian brought me to his condominium unit and we talked, that was when I truly discovered his identity. I was shocked to learn that he was actually a vampire.

"Y-you're a vampire?"

While lying on the sofa with him holding my hands, he admitted he belonged to the vampire race. "That’s right. I am Xian Vladimir, and I come from the Dracula bloodline."

I didn’t know how to react or what to say, but I felt even more uncomfortable because his face was so close to mine.

"W-wait, could you please move your face away from me?" I said, blushing from sheer embarrassment.

He looked puzzled and asked, "Wait, are you afraid?"

"What? Of course! You might just suddenly kiss me or something. Let me go."

I pushed him with all my strength, but he pulled me back, causing me to land on his lap. His face was so close that I could almost feel his breath.

I didn't know what was happening, but my heart was racing like it was in a competition every time I stared at his incredibly handsome face. I was used to seeing handsome men, but the feeling was different when I was this close to him.

I wanted to leave, but he still held my arms.

"Hey, what are you doing? I owe you a lot, but if you do anything inappropriate, I can sue you for sexual harassment," I warned.

He just stared at me, which only made me feel more shy. I couldn't look at him for long, fearing that I might be the one to pounce on him instead.

" He is so handsome, he looks like a model, but I can't fall for his charm. I may be desperate, but I am still a decent woman, " I thought.

Overwhelmed by embarrassment, I reached out to cover his face with my hands. "Can you stop staring at me for so long?"

"It’s strange. Why are you more afraid that I might kiss you than that I might bite you? Aren't you scared?" he asked.

"Bite? Wait, are you planning to bite me?"

He just smirked while closing his eyes. "You’re so weird."

I was stunned by his remark and got angry. I felt insulted being called "weird" by a man who was even weirder than I was.

"You can't just call a woman weird." I pouted

I admitted that I knew about vampires, but in this modern age, they didn't need to drink blood from others because the government supplied them with blood bags.

"Aren't you given blood bags by the government? Don't tell me that with all your wealth, you can't afford any."

He just smirked as if he were amused by me, noting how funny my way of thinking was. "I don't know if you're pretending to be innocent or if you're truly naive."

"W-wh-what? Who are you calling naive? You have no right to call me that; I finished high school," I retorted angrily.

"Don't you know about the conflict between the Draculas and the Lycans?" he asked.

He was referring to the centuries-old feud between werewolves and vampires that often resulted in grim battles. However, as far as I knew, many peace treaties had been signed between the races. Because werewolves and vampires agreed to be part of the same nation, peace talks were part of the deal. In the modern era, different races, including werewolves and vampires, lived side-by-side.

"I know our races have had conflicts, but that was a long time ago—back in our grandfathers' time."

"Are you saying you're not afraid of me because you think there was a peace treaty signed ages ago? Hahaha, you are very interesting."

I blushed with embarrassment upon hearing him and grew angry. "What are you talking about?"

I covered his face again.

"Could you please stop smiling at me like that, or I’ll sue you for sexual harassment," I stammered, unable to meet his eyes because of his stunning smile.

"Wait, I forgot that you're from the province, so you don't know what's happening in the capital."

I admitted that I was from the province, but I insisted that I was intelligent and not "naive" as he claimed.

As I was speaking, he suddenly touched my cheek and said that there was a brewing conflict among our races happening in the shadows. He explained that even if our races lived in the same country, discrimination and hatred could not be erased because of the endless fighting.

"Werewolves kill vampires, and because of that, we are angry and harbor hatred toward you. For the same reason, you should hate and despise someone like me," he said seriously.

I was stunned by his words. The room went silent for a few seconds as I didn't respond. I just looked into his eyes, which now appeared as vibrant as blood.

"So beautiful," I whispered, reaching for his face. I was spellbound by his eyes; I don't know why, but it felt like there was some kind of magic in them that held me captive.

When I touched his cheek, he suddenly grabbed my hand, which startled me. He warned me that I couldn't fall for a vampire's magic, or I would die instantly.

"Why are you so easily deceived? If you aren't careful, you could die," he said.

He explained that a vampire's eyes possess a magic capable of enchanting other beings—an old trick used back in the day to lure victims for their blood.

He brought his face close to my neck and whispered, "Once the victim is under the spell, that's when we can bite their neck."

I felt his breath against my neck, and his nose brushed against my skin, making me ticklish and causing me to moan. I was stunned when I realized what I had done; out of extreme embarrassment, I immediately stood up and moved away from him.

"What is happening to me? Why did I moan like that? My body is so sensitive when he touches me,"; I whispered to myself.

I covered my face while turning away to avoid his gaze. It was so embarrassing. I could feel the heat on my cheeks and I was confused by what was happening to me.

"If you don't want to fall under a vampire's magic, you must be aware when they are using it on you. And one thing to remember: their magic won't affect you if you truly hate or despise them," he said.

The place went silent for a moment as I didn't respond. A few moments later, I turned back to him, still puzzled.

I couldn't understand his actions because it seemed like he was warning me about vampires to keep me from becoming a victim.

"You're so weird," I said.

I sat on the sofa, questioning his behavior. He claimed there was a conflict between werewolves and vampires in the capital where each race despised the other, yet it was puzzling that he saved a werewolf like me.

"If vampires truly hate werewolves, why did you save me from death?"

He shook his head to look away. "It just so happened that I didn't know you were a werewolf that night; I only found out while I was treating your wounds," he said.

I found it even weirder. If he really saw me as a threat, why wait for me to wake up back then?

"And earlier, you helped me even though you knew I could kill you, too. I don't know if you're kind or just plain stupid."

He suddenly threw a pillow at my face to shut me up.

"You don't need to worry about that. I'm the one helping you, yet you're the one insulting me?" he said angrily.

"Well, now you know how it feels to be insulted," I replied.

He sighed and admitted that he might have been wrong to save me, but he couldn't just throw me away when I was dying, even if I was a werewolf.

"To me, you are still a living being with a mind, a heart, and rights. I am annoyed by the senseless belief that you must despise other beings just because you are of a different race," he said.

He looked at me and asked what I really thought about the conflict between werewolves and vampires. I pondered his question and insisted on what I said earlier—that those matters were from centuries ago.

"I think our ancestors had their reasons for hating other races, but now it depends on us. What are we supposed to do? I mean, should I fear you even if you saved my life?" I answered.

I explained that if he treated me well, I would be good to him, and I would only get angry if he did something bad to me. For now, since he had been good to me, I would be good to him as well.

Because of what I said, he smiled and held his mouth to stop himself from laughing. I was very insulted because it felt like he was just making fun of me.

"It's not good behavior to mock a woman."

"My apologies, I couldn't help it. You're just such an interesting woman," he said with a smile.

I was embarrassed again when I saw the beautiful smile on his face, and I frantically said, "I told you to stop smiling in front of me."

He sighed and stood up from the sofa to come closer to me. Once he was near, he took my hands and asked, "You know, I didn't expect to grow fond of someone like you just because of your weird personality. Would you like to be my wife?" he said tenderly, kissing my hand.

Xian’s POV After dinner, we continued our conversation in the living room. I had stepped out of my room, and as Elaine sat on the sofa, I handed her the application form for the military school. "I want you to read everything written there carefully. If you truly want to be a soldier, I will allow you to enter that academy." Elaine was overjoyed when she received it and thanked me immediately. She was so happy that I had agreed, but I still couldn't hide my concern. As I sat down on the sofa, I explained that I would cover all her expenses and buy everything she needed for her studies, but I made one thing clear: no one could know about my connection to her. "You cannot tell anyone about our relationship. If they find out we are married, they certainly won't allow you to be assigned to my squad." "That’s no problem, but are you planning to take me into your squad?" she asked. I explained that I wouldn't be comfortable placing her in a different squad, especially since I knew e

Xian’s POV After work, I headed home to my condo, hoping that, for once, everything would be peaceful. Instead, I arrived to find that yet another incident involving Elaine had occurred. I’m becoming increasingly uneasy and skeptical as to why something seems to happen to her every single day. I found Maxine waiting outside the condo. She told me that Elaine was inside cooking, and although she had just been in an accident, she wasn’t hurt, save for a few scratches on her hands. I decided not to go inside yet. Instead, I spoke with Maxine about what happened, especially since she is Elaine’s bodyguard and it is her mission to watch over her. "My apologies, Sir Xian, for my negligence," Maxine said, bowing her head. "I was too complacent, and I didn’t expect that she would jump in to save the child." "Let it go for now. Come with me," I said coldly. We went to the condominium’s security office and asked to view the CCTV footage of the accident where Elaine was hit by the car.

Maxine tried to avoid looking me in the eyes, but I didn't stop, pushing my face almost right up to hers. Because of my persistence, she had no choice but to give in. She sighed while pulling out her cellphone."I don't know, this is too complicated. To be honest, this is outside our job description, and you still need to inform Sir Xian about this," she said.I was thrilled by her response and hugged her immediately out of sheer joy. "Thank you so much! Don't worry, I will make it up to you someday.""Wait, we aren't even sure if Sir Xian will allow it. Let's wait for his answer," Maxine reminded me.I felt a surge of excitement and renewed hope. It was possible that I could learn to correctly harness the power within me—an ability I could finally be proud of.Deep down, I knew it would be difficult, but I had to take the risk and try everything to change myself. I needed to become strong so I wouldn’t have to rely on others anymore, and to prove to those who judged me that I could

The next morning, as I opened my eyes, I was greeted by the hotel ceiling. I looked around, remembering that I was in a hotel room—alone, and shivering from the room's air conditioning. I hugged my pillow, my mind drifting back to what happened with Xian last night. A thrill ran through me as I recalled his words—that he was willing to do anything just to be with me. However, amidst the excitement, I paused, remembering something unsettling. I had fallen asleep early last night, and I didn’t know when Xian had left. But it was clear in my mind: nothing had happened between us. "That's right," I whispered. "He also mentioned his promise that nothing would happen until we are married." I sat up on the bed, trying to remember if I had ever told him to do that. I clearly remembered saying once that I would only give myself to my husband, but I never ordered him to take it so seriously. I sighed in frustration. "Xian is so honest and thoughtful, but that’s exactly what makes him

  • The silver wolf and the vampire Prince   Chapter 18 : The rescue

After being kidnapped by armed men, I was locked in a room in an old, dilapidated house, terrified of what they might have in store for me. One of the kidnappers had cornered me, attempting to assault me. As he removed his shirt and approached, I tried to stand up from the bed, but he grabbed me and pulled me back down. "Let me go! Stay away from me!" I screamed. "Don't bother fighting; there’s nothing you can do. Just enjoy this pleasure before you die," he sneered. "Stop it! My body belongs only to Xian. No one can claim me but my husband!" I shouted. He became more aggressive, tearing at my clothes to get them off. I was consumed with rage, frustrated and disappointed in myself for being unable to protect my own body. "Xian, please, help me." As terror washed over me, I suddenly felt something strange—a faint, electric current flowing through my arms and a surge of heat radiating from my chest. "That’s enough! Stop it!" With a sudden burst of strength, I shoved the man of

After our date, I headed home alone. Xian had walked me to the jeepney terminal and waited until I was safely inside. "Take care," he said. Once he left to return to his car, I couldn't help but smile, thinking about how caring and thoughtful he was as a boyfriend. I still found it hard to believe that I had found someone like him. It made me want to work even harder to be successful so that I could be worthy of him. A few minutes later, I got off at the corner. Since I couldn't be dropped off directly in front of my condominium, I decided to walk the remaining thirty meters. The streets were quiet at that hour. As I walked along the sidewalk, I never expected what was about to happen. A white van pulled up in front of me. The door slid open, and three masked men jumped out. "Huh?" Without hesitation, they grabbed me and forced me into the van. "Wait! What are you doing? Hey! Let me go! Who are you?" It was futile. Their grip was like iron, and no matter how much I struggled
