Carl woke up aching. The effect of drugs caused him a severe headache. He barely opened his eyes when he remembered everything: He and Charlotte got kidnapped by the mafia. He heard them talking about the ‘slaves market’ and ‘good merchandise’. He knew they were referring to him and his sister. He was treated horribly and approached sexually, but he defended his sister. He tried to flee with her but they got caught. Thank goodness the mafia men didn’t want to ruin the kids' bodies, otherwise, they would have whipped him mercilessly. During his captivity, Carl heard many terrifying stories, saw many disgusting scenes, experienced many gloomy things, and discovered many horrible secrets. He tried his best to protect Charlotte, but apparently, he couldn’t.
