Apparently Akira wasn't just the last bane to the supreme alpha. She was Mirabel's too.

“You just don't know when to quit now do you?” she asked.

“Well you give me no choice.”

Kai just said there, like a ventriloquist dummy whodes strings had been broken.

“What have you done to him?” Akira asked, “undo it and maybe I will let you get away safely.”

“And that's supposed to make me feel better huh? Is that your big speech eh? an empty ultimatum?.”

“Uh uh….” Mirabel warned with a dark gleam in her eyes, “one wrong move and I'll decapitate him, or better yet I'd have him decapitate himself or worse, I'll have him decapitate YOU”
