Chapter 4

After the leaders of the village and representatives of different kinds of werewolves heard what Kasper said, they held an emergency meeting.

"Did the beta leader encounter the hunter?" asked one of the elders of our village.

"Yes," Flint said.

"With your condition earlier it seems that the hunter is becoming stronger!" 

"It's because she injects something to me therefore I cannot fight her," Flint explained.

"That hunter knows our weakness and I'm sure that's what she used to you to be like that!"

"She already killed hundreds of us!"

"I don't also think that it was luck for the beta leader to be free by the hunter... She might have a plan to find our village and kill us all!"

"Aren't you bothered about that, leaders? What if she found out the location of our village?" 

"We need to do something about it!"

"We need to be prepared!"

The meeting hall becomes noisy because of the different complaints from the villagers. Kasper look at the leader of their village, his mom, she looks bothered. While his dad is just sitting with his mom with his serious face, he seems to not care about the matter that they are discussing. Kasper's father always has that blank expression on his face.

"Please, calm down, everyone!" Kasper's mom said and the hall become quiet.

"Let us discuss this peacefully. I need all your cooperation... Sentinels! Add more comrades that will patrol our territory. Watch every movement to our surroundings and make sure that no intruders will get into our village..."

"Hunters! Preserve more foods that will last for a few months. Be careful also on hunting..."

"Salutary's! Find more herbal medicine. You must be ready in case a werewolf might be injured again..."

"Delta's! They must be trained well to become a beta soon. We need good fighters to protect our village..."

"Scouts! Visit the other werewolves outside our village and warn them too. Make sure that there is not a single trace when you leave the human world, don't let the werewolf hunter follow you while going back to our village or better yet, hide for the time being before coming back here..."

"Elders and guardian Kitsune... Please guide the omega and pups to our village. You must not let them get outside of our village because it is too dangerous for them... And lastly, Kasper, the alpha leader. I'm going to give you a mission. Find and observe the werewolf hunter."

"Are you sure about that, leader Matilda? The hunter is tricky. She always changes her appearance, therefore, it's a bit hard to find her. I also heard from her victims that she use something to hide her real scent." 

Kasper looks at his mom and she just nods. Kasper's mother gave him a look to just follow her command. "My son is not the leader of the alpha pack for nothing. He just needs to observe the hunter and find out who's her informant because I guess that there is a spy here in our village... Don't let your guard down, my son. And if you found an opportunity, kill the hunter!"

"Yes, mother," Kasper said and bow to her.

"I will accompany the alpha leader." Every one of them look at Flint and almost were opposed to what he said.

"But the hunter already knows your identity."

"Both of you might be in danger."

"I will be careful from now on. I'm sure I can help the alpha leader while looking for the hunter because I have already encountered and known her tricks. I can warn the alpha leader in case we will run across her." 

Everyone thinks about what Flint said and soon, they agreed that Flint will be with the alpha leader in finding the werewolf hunter.

After an hour, their meeting was over. Before Kasper leaves the hall, her mom talks to him.

"You better find the werewolf hunter, my son. Prove the villagers that you can protect them."

"I will, mom."

"How funny it is, right? There are thousands of werewolves and only one hunter. But we can't even kill that person."

"Don't worry, mom. I won't disappoint you."

"That's great. Come back here if you have good news." 

"Alright, mom."

"Rest for now. And tomorrow, before the sunrise, the beta leader and you must leave the werewolf village." Kasper nodded at what his mom said and take a glance at his father. But just like before, Kasper's father looks at him blankly.

"Don't mind your father. I'm sure he is also stressed about what's happening to our village... As soon as possible, the hunter must die. She's slowly destroying our clan... You need to find a way to kill her.

"I will, mom."

"Good!" 

After Kasper and his mom talk, he leaves the hall. Then, he saw Flint that was waiting outside. They didn't talk to each other. 

Kasper go to his house and he was a bit surprised when he still saw Flint behind his back. Flint even gets inside his house without saying anything.

'What the?! He feels like he owns my house!' Kasper exclaimed in his thoughts. 

"Did you get scolded?" Flint asked while sitting comfortably on the couch.

"No."

"That's a relief," he said but Kasper just glare at him.

"What? Your mom is really scary."

"Ohh, shut up!"

"Haha, sorry."

"I can't believe that you can still smile like that despite we're having a problem with our village."

"What can I do? This is my personality. Anyway, we need to act cool in the human world."

"No! We need to be just an ordinary man. Besides, you act so cool that time, and guess what, the hunter found you," Kasper said. Then, he looks at him when he doesn't respond.

"I've been thinking about that... 'Cause I make sure that my identity won't be questioned, I was a son of a billionaire. But how come the hunter still finds my location?" They both stay quiet for a few minutes while thinking.

"What if there's a spy?" they both asked each other. Then, Kasper just shook his head. "That can't be. We all know the werewolves inside the village. It might just be a coincidence."
